Welcome to the fifth volume of Essential Cuts, the epilogue of the series!
This time around we begin with @muzarco, one of Tel Aviv's most iconic artists, with "Vertebra by Vertebra". Following the success of his EP "Tang Lung", Muzarco is back with yet another irresistible single full of emotions and with a tad of mystery too.
The compilation goes on with a trio of swiss musicians.
We start off with Tivu feat. @super-natural01, the new soloist alias of Thomas T, and his "Secret Window", a deep tech track characterized by funky elements empowered by a ground shaking bass and an enchanting vocal.
Then, Adriano Mirabile @adriano-aka-a-d-i, a talent from Bern, proposes "Delinquent" a song produced almost exclusively with field recordings that he gathered himself throughout his travels.
Finally, @rjega, a long-time active member of Zurich's electronic scene, delivers "I Set the Fire" a 100bpm downtempo track where a meandering stream of darkness commingles itself with intense emotions.

Essential Cuts is a new various artists' music concept made of 5 volumes with a maximum of 4 artists for each volume, thus a maximum of 4 tracks for each release, embracing different genres in electronic music.

Ustrell (@ustrellmusic) makes his 3-4-1 Cuts debut this summer with ‘Runaway'.
One half of Spanish duo Wow & Flute, known for their releases on Spinnin' Records, Nervous and Stereo, and their remix work with Danny Tenaglia and DJ Chus, Riki Ustrell begins his new solo project Ustrell for 2022. This June, Lugano-based label 3-4-1 Cuts welcomes the Barcelona-born Swiss-based DJ and producer for his eclectic house EP ‘Runaway'.
Vibrant basslines and stirring vocals combine with rolling percussion and anthemic organs in ‘Runaway (Original Mix)', before tight snares, elastic tones and choppy harmonies take the reins in the ‘Wired Mix' serving up a dish of glossy pads in this swung affair. To close, the stripped back 'Spectrum Mix' unfastens throbbing low-ends, ravey stabs, warped samples and timely drum rolls in this brooding finale.

Richard Tau is a Czech electronic music DJ and producer focusing in Progressive, Tech House, Minimal and Melodic Techno styles. In the past he has released music under other pseudonyms and projects, such as Digital Illusion.

Richard's work is characterized by deep atmospheric and mysterious soundscapes combined with catchy rhythms, creating his tracks with careful attention to detail. His passion for music production and new technologies has led to a constantly evolving sound that captivates his audience.

His first 4-track EP entitled 'Hope' contains, in addition to all the necessary ingredients to be successful and therefore played and appreciated everywhere, a considerable amount of positive energy.

The album is inspired by my sonic art visual research. Specifically by the reworked images (often mirrored) of my daily life. Through those reworked imagines, I would like to remark how people’s feelings are capable to create new dimensions starting from an objective reality. The essential is invisible, but it is the invisible we are desperately looking for.

Think about a reworked imagine of the Eiffel Tour, mirrored and flipped and ending to be e a steel sculpture silhouetted against the sky. Although the billions of pictures about the Eiffel Tour, people is still trying to capture its invisible essence.
This invisible thing is the same matter of clouds.

My album is a concept album of simple and primitive elements simple. Like elements of a periodical table. Some rarefied elements, they condense into heavier or more serious elements, creating sometimes more complete songs that are - in any case - part of a wider universe. It is a place of beginning: where my sounds, noises, imagines and visual art get their start.

About Emmanuel De La Paix:
His music regularly combines guitars, acoustic elements and electronics, embracing synths and classical instruments, balancing a personal research of music sound. Inspired by the rough landscapes and unrestrained forces of nature found in both Switzerland and Iceland, the epic songs tell of the healing power behind nature as well as music, a feature which unites the two in a unique way.

His debut album “Rescue Pack” released on 2021 is a grandiose mix of shoegaze-ish post rock, ambient and experimental electronics. Terre Brûlée, his second album released on 2022, is not only the French term describing scorched earth, i.e. a wartime strategy of not leaving anything behind when retreating from an enemy but also the state into which humanity seems to drive our planet.

Kenny Bergamo is back on 3-4-1 Cuts following previous productions such as remixes of "Is your name Tang Lung?" by Muzarco in 2020 and "First & Last Dance" by Animor in 2023 and the entry "Libre" released in 2022 within the V/A Essential Cuts, Vol. 1. 

This time, this incredible Italian talent offers us his first mini-album of 7 tracks. A sound and spiritual quest influenced by different cultures and ethnicities.  It kicks off with some mysterious recordings characterized by repetitive samples and vocals tied to oriental mantras such as 'Adi Shakti', which is also the name of the EP, the creative energy and strength of the universe. The sweet voice in 'Adi Shakti' is by world-renowned Kundalini Yoga teacher, Sada Sat Kaur. It continues with dancefloor beats and eccentric melodies spiced up with organic percussion and a tribal groove, playing between music genres such as downtempo, organic house, afro house and indie dance.
