Danish DJ and producer Christian Nielsen is an artist who came out of nowhere. 
Working in an office by day and developing his musical craft by night.
That said, his sound is a classic one, and one which has already made him popular – most notably on Gorge and Nick Curly’s 8BIT, Jesse Rose’s Play It Down, Skream’s Of Unsound Mind and lately on Speicher/Kompakt. 
Nielsen, however, is no flash in the pan, and is a producer who knows his way around the studio and has evolved musically studying legends like Kerri Chandler, Jimpster, Mr. V, Master At Work, Larry Heard, Moodymann and the late Frankie Knuckles. 
A firm advocate of dance-floor ready house, Nielsen did contribute a remix for Joyce Muniz on Exploited which got wide support. So it was kind of obvious we would ask him for an EP for Exploited Ghetto.
'In Search Of The Perfect Sun' is an epic journey. On the flip 'This Is Love' is straight and dark jacking house dancefloor business.

This one is pretty much something that we want to hear in our alley, and with the remixes from Big AL and Pion, makes this release, with a slight different groove than the previous releases, as a huge refreshment for all of those who are following our work.

Belgium’s OGASM label continues to carve out a niche for itself with its third EP. This one again comes from the label boss PROPE, with remixes from a smart selections of names including Dusty Kid, Matchy & Bott and Seb Legrand.

Thierry Botteman and Pierre Dozin are PROPE. Between them they are veterans of the 90s dance scene who have worked with major labels like Universal as well as being ghost producers for everyone from Royksopp to Groove Armada. They’ve made drum & bass and trip hop, played live shows all over the world with names such as Robert Glasper and Fela’s Egypt80 and so have vast reserves of musical understanding on which to draw on for this new project, which “merges subtle stellar ambiance and vibes, deep harmonies, and heavy effective drops.”

Their lead track here is ‘Excite’, an intense bit of drone-heavy techno that gets you in a trance. The hunched drums are metallic in texture, the long synths take you down the rabbit hole and the closely stacked claps power things along as you slowly lose your mind. A ‘deep mix’ version gives more height and life to the drums, switching it to more of a house vibe, with stellar synths darting about up top.

Italian artist, Isolade label boss and long time underground figure Dusty Kid is the first to remix. His innovative version is a melodic affair that reaches out into the cosmos and will get hands in the air as it slowly unfolds.

Next up are Match & Bott who are no strangers to big hits. The Mainz pair have crafted plenty of them before now on labels like Hive Audio, Moonbootique and Stil Vor Talent, and here they have done so again with a moody, deep version that zones you out with hi hats and gets you moving with forceful drums.

Last of all, 1605 and Yorube Grooves techno specialist Seb Legrand keeps up the intensity with a big version filled with long, meandering synths and little fx and details. It’s another groove driven roller to lock in the whole floor.

With this release, both PROPE and OGASM prove they are on the rise.

Stil & Bense return to the label with 'Cheat Codes'. Their last outing back in March of this year was received to high acclaim - with big support from the likes of Djuma Sound System, Eelke Kleijn AFFKT, Animal Trainer, Gai Barone, Marc DePulse and many more at the time. With their long-awaited return to ICONYC, the duo delivers a slice of summer vibes titled 'Cheat Codes'. The original track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth.

Melody Stranger, who needs no introduction created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up are Two Sins who mark their debut on the label with 2 remixes, the Russian duo known for their melodic techno influenced sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh and exciting. Lovely rework from Two Sins. 

The duo's dub version is a stripped back affair and takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove. It's all about the groove, cool house vibes and the driving beats that are working their magic around Plus Thirty's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip. 

With 'Cheat Codes' Stil & Bense really show that there're no boundaries, as this beautiful melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smile induced moments! Christian Nielsen is back on Sincopat this time for his first solo EP on the label. The Danish artist is a relentless person: office worker by day and music hero by night, he has definitely found his path in electronic music.
Talking about music, 'Access' opens the EP with one clear aim: make you dance. It counts with an amazing and epic breakdown to be enjoyed entirely. On remix duties, AFFKT takes the track to his painting easel adding more melodic notes to the landscape with his unique and personal style, Sincopat's big kahuna proves once again his talent with this powerful and organic remix. On 'Stroke it', Christian uses the minimum items to get the best result, you won't need anything else to find this track awesome: it is sinister, hypnotic and really effective.
