INTHEMORNING

man i guess here i go
took a rest 
long time since i flowed
a lot on my mind 
pen and pad how i unload
sin mixed with gin
stirred in a tall glass
i begin to believe everything
the voices ever said
no options only a single choice instead

i lock in, ignorant to others sentiment 
preoccupied with turbulence 
this domicile all the whiles
been a legitimate tenement 
methodical how I’m blinded
true belief I’m responsible
its likely imponderable 
that it couldn’t be
cuz im the cause of all the suffering
to hear it from you 
that’s enough for me
when my bluff is called
i make it true no matter what 
i don’t want to do or go through
a ruined man, tourist in the metaphysical
unequivocal conclusions of where i stand
contusion riddled, an uncanny 
resemblance to a war torn land
 wasted im barely able to stand
wary of where i’ll be
when i can’t
walk more than a few more feet
when i stop that’s where im planting forever 
never to be broken free
so take another swig from the bottle
wobble along 
evading the encroaching sorrow
colossal the embargo that holds back
the positivity that’s possible tomorrow

harrowing the events i reminisce on
so far gone, narrow mentality 
soaked, marred, scarred, withdrawn
a lifes story, in actuality , a skewed view
with no actual reference point
but plenty of boundaries drawn 
compounding relentless worries
plus truths 
that im unstable as a hadrons
yet seeking proof 
i made the right choice to 
remain aloof, intrapersonal in my interactions
poised and maintaining reproof 
i trust no one
well hidden issues 
ive truly outdone 
compared to previous attempts 
at making an empty body
appear to have an abundance
of inner wealth
contentment with self
while residing in a purgatory type realm
