Get Physical Music proudly presents the remastered release of 1995, the iconic EP by Danish producer and drummer Tomas Barfod, originally released in 2004.

Best known as a founding member and drummer of the genre-blending trio WhoMadeWho, Tomas Barfod has been a defining force in electronic music since the late 1990s. His career began behind the drum kit at just ten years old, eventually leading to projects like the duo Filur and a successful solo career with releases on labels such as Kompakt, Secretly Canadian, and Get Physical. Balancing his time between Los Angeles and Copenhagen, Barfod continues to craft forward-thinking productions while contributing to numerous projects as a producer.

The 1995 EP captures the raw energy and distinctive electro-house sound that defined Get Physical’s early years. The title track, 1995, exudes a laid-back electric disco vibe, effortlessly blending smooth grooves with shimmering synth textures. My Drums shifts the energy with driving, repetitive electro synth lines, delivering a high-octane pulse that reflects the dancefloor intensity of the era. Rounding out the EP, The Go Go brings the disco influence back to the forefront, merging funky rhythms with crisp electronic production. Together, these tracks embody the spirit of early 2000s electro-house, a sound that positioned Get Physical at the forefront of electronic music innovation.

"Hardwired" draws its conceptual foundation from synthesizer terminology. As JakoJako explains: "A hardwired synth has connections already soldered into the machine—it comes with certain functions without needing to patch cables externally. As a hardware producer, I feel whenever I meet someone who creates music as I do, we have this immediate connection, like a hardwired synthesizer. There's no need for small talk—we can speak about gear."

Alola celebrates 20 years of music adding new remixes of 16B's classic "The Game".....

Originally released in 2002 on the seminal Hooj Choons imprint, Omid's 16B's 'The Game' went on to be one of his most loved and best-selling releases. 

Hypnotic, tribal house with progressive overtones, 'The Game' was  a huge hit for the likes for Danny Tenaglia,  John Digweed and DJ Vibe, and in many ways epitomized the sound dominating the dance floors in the early naughties; brooding melodies and pensive beats coupled with deep male tones that narrate a late night mantra, 'The Game' builds into hedonistic territory with a calculated approach.

Omid 16B has enlisted the skills of a new generation of producers to remix this house classic. 

Texas based producer, Beat Tribe, Hungarian innovator, SLP,  and newcomer Javan all provide contrasting takes on the original, all to great effect.

Beat Tribe turns in a rolling, tech house, tribal infused remix on 'The Game', aimed at the dancefloor, laced with infectious groove.

Hungarian Innovator SLP delivers a pensive prog work-out, slowly evolving, and building to those iconic chord melodies whilst newcomer Javan's minimal-tinged work-out is suited to the darker floors.

Completing the package are Marcelo Castelli's 2001 remixes, which just as with the original, still sound great today.

Omid Nourizadeh also known as Omid 16B, is a DJ whose passion for cutting edge electronic music is unrivalled. As a DJ and producer, songwriter, musician and label boss, Omid has forged a unique and prolific career as one of the world’s most talented and respected musicians and producers.
He’s much regarded as one of the leaders who pioneered the tech house movement back in the early nineties, alongside the likes of Carl Craig, Vince Watson, Craig Richards, Mr C, Steve Bug and Francois K .
Growing up in London, with Persian roots, Omid was influenced by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Cure, Depeche Mode, RIDE and The Mission. Throughout his teens he became an accomplished musician playing a list of instruments while attending Richmond College and utilising the music rooms at any given chance.
