Cinematique is proud to present the next release. We welcome back our friends of 10dens for their final EP.

Yes, you've read it right: final EP. Earlier this year the duo unfortunately decided to stop making music as 10dens due to musical differences and the distance between the cities where they live. They've chosen to continue their friendship instead of risking it because of the music and the conflicts it sometimes brought along, something we can only respect. So let's think about all the good memories and wonderful music they've left. It will be followed for sure by new and exciting solo stuff of both Michael and Jurriën.

Having said that, we are honored to bring you this final 10dens release. Although their last full EP was released in the early days of the label, back in 2011, we have always considered them as close members of the Cinematique family. After their well acclaimed EP 'When the Skyline Crumbles' we've had the pleasure to release some loose tracks on Midnight Beats, remixes and especially their beautiful version of CardioWave's 'Dark Room' together with NY Fan. We are sure this final release will be a brilliant addition to their impressive discography and of course we do wish them both all the best with their future productions.

We, at Luck of Access, love the feeling of discovering hidden gems, and this release is full of it. Konstantin Smirnov masterfully combines raw techno, ambient & electro in his “On My Mind” EP, which includes a beautiful rework from the legendary Satoshi Tomiie – enjoy the trip !

LOSOUL is back on SLICES OF LIFE with two minimal house gems!

Frankfurt-based DJ and producer legend @losoul  is renowned for his unique sonic language and deep, captivating grooves.
On his latest release for the Berlin imprint, the tracks take us on a journey back to the roots of minimal house - raw, stripped-down, and deeply immersive.

"Post Service Pop" on the A-side flows deep and funky, spreading pads like hot oil, topped with subtly modulated vocal snippets.

"Modesty Bump" on the B-side dives into rawer territory with high-energy sounds and edgy sonic sparkles, while maintaining that minimalistic, steady, driving groove we all love in Losoul’s work: groovers and grinders for the long-distance runner’s soundtrack.

Watch out for the digital release in the new year which will feature an additional & exclusive second track from Rod Modell, a 12 minute ambient take on Desire Line.

JS Zeiter - Context Collapse Remixes (LPY-22.1) clips

Up next on Brooklyn’s Scissor & Thread is the latest EP from @Snad, aka Shyam Anand (also known as Spandrel), the Berlin-based artist whose discography already spans labels like Smallville, Minibar, 20:20 Vision, Phonica AM, TerraFirm, Running Back, Cabinet, Kimochi and Dungeon Meat with remixes for names including Seafoam and Chez Damier. 

A trusted selector and producer in the underground, Snad has steadily built a reputation for deeply considered productions that balance classic inspiration with his own forward-thinking edge.

The AM Yard EP opens with its title track, a warm, hazy cut rooted in the kind of bassline architecture that recalls Chez n Trent’s Morning Factory but reshaped with Snad’s signature dreamlike touch. 

Anticip8 fanchors the release with a more direct energy, rolling, insistent and focused on the floor, balancing stripped-down drive of dusty samples wrung through his digitakt with just enough harmonic flourish to pull the listener inward. 

On the flip, The Pursuit follows in a slightly different mode, drawing on experimental vocoder techniques and filtered percussion creating a hypnotic push-and-pull that feels as intricate as it is understated.

Rounding things out, label heads Francis Harris and Anthony Collins, under their Frank & Tony alias, reimagine The Pursuit with their Housebeat Remix, extending its atmospherics into an even deeper headspace that glides effortlessly into late-night territory.

Detroit’s Jon Dixon is set to bring to life his new “Paradise Valley” EP, courtesy of the British imprint No Speakers. An artist with a deep foundation in classical studies since his youth, Dixon has consistently woven a sophisticated Jazz sensibility into the fabric of his Techno productions. His respected history with labels like Freerange, Kaoz Theory, and Nervous, just to name a few, speaks to a seasoned creator who understands the soul of dance music. His freshest vinyl outing promises a dynamic journey, featuring reinterpretations from LA Synthesis and El Prevost, the label honcho himself, alongside a potent digital bonus from Ollie Drummond that demands attention.

Where the original mix of “Layers To This” builds on Dixon’s reliable groove, Ollie Drummond’s rework confidently shifts the entire axis of the track toward a breakbeat framework. He masterfully re-engineers the composition into a driving, peak-time offering built for motion. The result is a certified floor-filler, where raw, melodic synth lines slice through an impeccably constructed lattice of percussion. Originally "Back in the Days" released in 2004 on Resopal Schallware marked Tigerskin as a torchbearer for pop-oriented groovy House, reviving the raw energy of early 90s bleeps, swung beats, and untamed dance floor spirit but transforming it with the technical possibilities of the early 00s into his trademark romantic vision.

From the pulse of “Dance Now” to the cringey charm of “Party in My Car,” Tigerskin proved that Back in the Days was more than a look backward - it was a bridge between era's: a reminder that the roots of club culture still grow, still breathe, still move people.

Two decades on, this re‑release doesn’t just bring back nostalgia - it reminds us that reminiscing every once in a while can push creativity. The album and a few EPs around it were the start of a pretty different approaches to club music for Tigerskin, that led to several big tracks and remixes, some now considered to be classics by many. 

The three formerly unreleased and slightly more club-oriented bonus tracks had been recorded the same year but were amongst many that didn’t make it to the album.

Partial PR: The 45th release on microCastle welcomes Navar & Mononoid to the label for the debut of their collaborative project. Dutch artist Navar returns to the Canadian imprint following his 'Moments In Life EP' from November of 2014. As one of the underground's most creative talents Navar has shaped a sound all his own, full of soulful qualities and organic design. Appearances on Guy J's Lost & Found Records coupled with a sparse release schedule has only made the love for his sound stronger. Meanwhile Mononoid, also hailing from the Netherlands are making their much anticipated label debut. First conceptualized in 2011, Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy make up the Mononoid production duo. A string of releases on Traum got their career off to a great start and their modern take on techno has since been showcased by Einmusika, Lost & Found and Sisyphon. Much like Navar, Mononoid has been praised for their creative vision and the fusion of these three intuitive minds was a project that had to be put into motion. Some winter months locked away in the studio has resulted in the much anticipated three track EP entitled 'Dreambox', alongside a remix from YokoO of Musik Gewinnt Freunde and All Day I Dream.

 The EP's second and also title cut 'Dreambox' is a spaced out journey which plays out over 12 magnificent minutes. Highlighted by cosmic themes and two oscillating builds, it's a deep space odyssey for the mind and feet. As Navar and Mononoid describe "An audio collision of reality & dream, which first seemed to be a true form of realism when the track was conceptualized, but when we keyed in a darker state of mind we slipped into another consciousness...it got us hypnotized! So we had to make a box where we could place the hypno-sphere's....but be aware that once this box is opened things will never be the same again!" 

Navar & Mononoid - Dreambox [microCastle] (Preview)

Out june 27th on Alola Records P & C 2016.

The first of three releases prior to the new album release in November 2016. 
The first single is entitled 'Saudade' delicately builds in tempo continually adding melodious undertones that gain momentum before coming to a blissful climax. The harmony then plateaus before once again gaining momentum and presenting an array of synths that pique the listeners deepest emotions bringing them into a state of euphoria. 

Building on Omid 16B's new artist album due for release later this year, there will be 3 releases before the album. Omid describes it as "tracks I made spontaneously straight after completing the album, feeling a sense of release and relief was obvious but to be drawn towards my synths and older drum machines so soon was unusual. I recorded everything live from the sounds to the arrangement for fun, I had hours worth of this jam at the end which I then had to cut up and decide which parts were worthy of a release. I also wanted the new album to feel as if it had some introduction prior to the release without there having to be a traditional single or singles taken from the album. These prior releases have a connection to the album but are not on the final album".

Omid Nourizadeh also known as Omid 16B, is a DJ whose passion for cutting edge electronic music is unrivalled. As a DJ and producer, songwriter, musician and label boss, Omid has forged a unique and prolific career as one of the world’s most talented and respected musicians and producers.
He’s much regarded as one of the leaders who pioneered the tech house movement back in the early nineties, alongside the likes of Carl Craig, Vince Watson, Craig Richards, Mr C, Steve Bug and Francois K .
Growing up in London, with Persian roots, Omid was influenced by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, The Cure, Depeche Mode, RIDE and The Mission. Throughout his teens he became an accomplished musician playing a list of instruments while attending Richmond College and utilising the music rooms at any given chance.
