We have our FIRST cis-male interview on our show! James is Taara’s partner and we invited him to join our show to share his experience of dropping traditional and patriarchal mindsets. We talk about how these mindsets negatively impacted him, the tools he used to help ditch them, and what shifts he noticed after when it came to his personal relationships, sex and intimacy. This isn’t James’s first time on the mic, he has recorded over 100 episodes with Taara on their former podcast Sex Uninterrupted and has travelled to events like Young Swingers Week and Naughty n’ Nawlins to speak at workshops and panels and share his knowledge and experience with men.

About Sex Ed for the Modern Bed: I have been working as a sex educator since 2014. First as a non-monogamous educator and podcaster with my partner. In April 2021 I decided that I wanted to expand my knowledge surrounding sex education and enrolled in school to become a certified Somatic Sex Educator and Sexological Bodyworker. I have recently completed my fourth Core Course with my Institute and I am a certified "Like a Pro" graduate with the School of Consent. About Sex and Sensibility: I have a background in neuroscience /neurobiology & spent the past decade exploring tools and modalities around emotional release and Somatic bodywork. Trained as a relationship/intimacy coach with the Somatica® Institute before embarking on the path of Sexological Bodywork & Somatic Sex Education with the ISSSE where I'm currently completing my training. I hold trainings in performance hypnosis, doula training, lactation education, dominatrix work, business coaching, Hakomi Psycotherapy and psychedelic guidance/integration. I am currently enrolled in Ellen Heed's STREAM training (Scar Tissue Remediation Education and Management) with a focus on holistic pelvic care. My emphasis is on emerging from shame, increased choicefulness, pattern recognition, improved communication & boundary setting. I hold a space where my clients can safely and authentically show up in their bodies and minds, dark side and all, and be met there. Guys! Can we talk a little bit about my US tour? I’ve been travelling about 2 weeks and feel like a brand new woman! I am more comfortable in my body than I have been in a long time. I feel extremely sexually liberated, I feel safe and I have learned a ton. I’m exercising my boundaries and learning to say no to situations that don’t suit me. I’m learning to be open to things I want and the people I want in my life. I am the true definition of ‘living my best life’.
