A driving instrumental from my 2000 album Early Rain.  It features me on piano, organ and percussion, Sean Cunnington (T-Rox Music) on guitar, Pete Sanderson on bass and Mark Mariash (Leslie Street Treeo) on drums.  The song was recorded at my August Night Studio in Toronto.

Oh, Santa!

A romantic Pop ballad about longing for and finally finding love.  I wrote this song, music and lyrics in 1988.  It was released as a single in November that year and played in Canada, the U.S., Europe and as far as New Zealand.  The tracks were recorded at Stan Meissner's Witchwood Studio.  I programmed the tracks, Stan fleshed out the drums a bit and he played the electric guitar parts.  I then recorded the lead and harmony vocals.  Stan has written songs for Celine Dion, Lee Ann Womack and more, as well as for movies and TV series.

Denis D'Aoust is a professional musician / songwriter / record producer.  He's been a member of the American Federation of Musicians since he was sixteen.  He has performed solo or in bands of many different styles over the years, has appeared on several recordings, on radio and television.  

He holds a degree in Music Technology, and owned his own bricks & mortar digital multi-track recording studio for fifteen years.  He has worked with multi-track analog, Digital Performer, Pro-Tools, and Cubase, DA-88s and ADATs.  

Over the years, he has engineered and produced various acts, from amateur to professional, solo acts to large ensembles.  His many years in the music business have given him the experience needed to work in many music genres.  He has been a judge in the Best Producer category for the JUNO awards, Canada's equivalent to the Grammy awards.

He's based in the San Francisco Bay area, has set up a project studio in his home and is helping songwriters achieve their goals by producing great sounding recordings for his clients.
