"Brand Blvd," the first single from RamonPang's new EP "The Answer Breaks" (releasing 8/22/25), offers a gentle comedown. It features kalimbas, soft pads, and emotive glitches, creating a melancholic yet nostalgic atmosphere.

The track evokes the warmth of kalimba-driven funk folk while resonating with the experimental spirit of Aphex Twin's SoundCloud dump era, showcasing RamonPang's ability to balance introspective textures with glitching sound design.

The Answer

'In My Head It's Green' was made in autumn/winter 2024, in a very productive few months of music-making, which came around due to tutoring music production, which made me look inward at my own production techniques and try to refine things.

Making music quickly and demonstrating how to do so became a priority, so the rough ideas for this EP appeared quite spontaneously. I then spent a lot of time on the minor details, getting really clinical with the drum programming and sound design.

Off the back of my album 'Echo Point Drive' which came out last year, I really wanted to push the bar further with sound design and synthesis.

The artwork was created by artist Kidfue, (kidfue.com) depicting my dog, Buddy in a park. We got Buddy last year, and spending more time outdoors with him has really helped inspire my music.

In My Head it's Green

'Akin' and 'Mother' remind me of my earliest days writing dance music. Two free-spirited, transportive pieces that feel like spreading wings and letting the winds take me. Brought skyward in the hand of fate, nurturing yet weathered by my very own ideals. We all wish for better days. And toil to heal.

"Everything On Time" is a collection of songs that were written over 10 years, now all finally being released together on vinyl/digital.

"Emo" and "KNS" / "KNS 2019" are my first collaborations with Metalheadz friends Agzilla (Iceland) and Kiat (Singapore) from over a decade ago, "Garden", with vocals by Morgan Neiman, was written in 2014 while on my first tour in Europe, and "Torpor" was written in 2016 in my first weeks of living in Western Canada.

All four tracks are unrelated in their creation but somehow all tie together to showcase a similar sound I have been producing for over a decade in various tempos and styles - all a reminder of particular times creatively and personally in my life. The wait to get these out was worth every second, and as the title states - everything is out right on time.

I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I did making them.
