S.F.Y.E. Ep.17 | For the fourth Takeover installment, I’d like to introduce Julia Koffie. Julia is a Minsk-based DJ who hosts the WZRD radioshow on Radio Plato. Her show is inspired by future beats, hip-hop, electronic music and edits culture. She’s also a co-founder of @bluetapefam, a label and a growing community that brings together sound producers and artists all around the world. For this iteration of my takeover series I'm excited to introduce you all to a fire young DJ who goes by Alexandr., or EA. He is a 22 year old Colombian DJ/Producer from Boston. Working around and on music since the young age of 13, he explores and expresses himself through music in a unique way. His cinematic style of dj'ing when creating mixes helps him stand out to me and I hope he will to you as well. He combines different genres such as RNB, House, Dancehall, Jersey Club, and more as if they are all one. A true genre bender! During this last month, I took some personal time for experiencing, traveling, and exploring new sounds. This mix is inspired by more soulful sounds. Yussef Dayes, Kiefer, and Tom Misch carried the vibe in this one-take exploration mix to welcome in the fall. I hope you appreciate listening to this one and much as I did recording it.

Coming to yall from southern Japan is our sixth takeover mix of this year. We met some time ago in Spain and then again when I lived on the island, and back then we bonded over hoopin' but now he is a traveling selector with influence that span's a few Nippon prefectures, as well as into other Southeast Pacific countries. His relatively new mix series [SumFourDaUnkS] features the curator of this one of one mix - CEDDJCEE. Documenting live blends of classic and some of the newest HH/RNB music but with a new fresh global sound. This mix is 100% comprised of his own blends. I'm happy to introduce you all to my guy, and I hope yall enjoy his display of musical exploration. See yall in the next one!
