For this iteration of my takeover series I'm excited to introduce you all to a fire young DJ who goes by Alexandr., or EA. He is a 22 year old Colombian DJ/Producer from Boston. Working around and on music since the young age of 13, he explores and expresses himself through music in a unique way. His cinematic style of dj'ing when creating mixes helps him stand out to me and I hope he will to you as well. He combines different genres such as RNB, House, Dancehall, Jersey Club, and more as if they are all one. A true genre bender! On this special episode we welcomed our next guest JOSEWILL. 

JOSEWILL is a DJ and curator out of Central Valley, CA. His love for music began in the early to mid 2000’s when he would visit nearby LA on the weekends to enjoy Beat shows hosted by tastemakers like low end theory, stones throw and Soulection. His music selection ranges anywhere from House, to R&B with a touch of futurebeats and so much more.

I became a fan of JOSEWILL through his mix series called “FEEL ME” a carefully crafted mix series full of soulful and innovative selections. You can find it on his personal account at @jwillsng. And be sure to check out the radio show he runs at @4uandi

Without further ado, allow me to set the stage for this incredible mix he put together for us today. At around the 20 minute mark - he starts off his mix with some fire drum n bass and then goes into some house and soulful edits to end his mix. Things have been moving slowly this year. "Slow motion is better than no motion" but damn it feels slow as hell. I'm looking at this whole Boolah thing and the potential extensions and it's something that's exciting and a new challenge to tackle.

I'm really working in the clothing realm and bringing that side of storytelling into the Boolah brand. I remember wearing the Karmaloop shirts back in high school and seeing these cool designs that told stories with a whole bunch of different imagery. At the same time, I had started taking a screen-printing course for an art class and loved every bit of the process. In the last couple years, I really became engrossed with the conversations old Athletic Ads (Nike/Jordan/Adidas/Puma) created and how they spoke to human needs at it's core and I wanted to really digest that and work it into the psyche of my brand langauge. I've been willing to throw myself into the fire. That's the best way to learn.

Ichiro, like Kobe, played every second like his soul was on fire. No matter the occasion, the ability to play the game was something he never took for granted. Every moment was a fire drill. One of the greatest of all-time.
