Patit Udharan is an amalgamation of 2 words, Patit and Udharan. Patit refers to a sinner or those who have fallen from their moral/religious duties. Udharan refers to liberating. It is the act of emancipating the sinners into saints. Thus, Patit Udharan means the emancipator (one who frees) sinners or the one who liberates the sinners. The spiritual world abstains from sinners in the society but only a Guru accepts them into His sanctuary and liberates. Guru takes demerits and in return blesses with virtues.

Katha Battle Of Mukatsar- A Descriptive Account

On 1st of Jeth 1767 Bikarmi (1710 CE), the dream and thirst of every Sikh to avenge the martyrdom of the Chhote Sahibzade was quenched when Nishan Sahib was raised over Sirhind and Wazir Khan punished to death. In order to achieve this mission, 6,000 Sikhs laid down their lives in this battle which marked the dawn of Khalsa Raj in Punjab.
