Chandu is exceptionally pained by the closeness of Jahangir with Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. He sees this as a ticking time bomb, which will one day results in his death. 
He now plots to place Guru Ji in a jail where he can then kill Guru Ji. 
While scheming, he bribes a Royal Astrologer at a sum of 500 rupees upfront (at a total value of 5,000 rupees) to tell a false prediction of bad omen (Saar Satti). 
Chandu tells the astrologer, to scare Jahangir with the bad omen that even his life is under threat. The ailment for this is for a man with the name of Hargobind to be placed in a prison and he is to chant Almighty’s name. 
Upon successfully convincing Jahangir, Chandu promised to pay 5,000 rupees. 
The astrologer manages to scare Jahangir that the Saar Satti has come to the Emperor and no one is to know about this (as someone might take advantage of it). When asked about the cure, he says: 
1. Must be a Khatri
2. Must be of Sodhi lineage
3. Name must be Hargobind
4. Showers 3 times a day
5. Must be at Gwalior. In the prison. 
6. To chant for whole day
7. To remain silent
8. To always pray for you
Chandu was also present with few other courtiers when the astrologer said the above. Jahangir asks the courtiers who fulfill the above requirements. If there isn’t any, to announce in the whole country. Jahangir promises to pay large sums of money to the person. A courtier who was Chandu’s agent, mentions Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji to Jahangir. 
Jahangir replies that it is inappropriate as Guru Ji is a saint and has come here on my invitation. Chandu then convinces Jahangir that Guru Ji will obviously help the emperor. 
Jahangir is preparing to visit Guru Ji and personally request.

On 1st of Jeth 1767 Bikarmi (1710 CE), the dream and thirst of every Sikh to avenge the martyrdom of the Chhote Sahibzade was quenched when Nishan Sahib was raised over Sirhind and Wazir Khan punished to death.
