Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji was in Amritsar Sahib when the messenger arrived. Seeing Guru Ji, the messenger was in bliss and he fell on Guru Ji’s feet. When the contents of the letter was read, Guru Ji decided to pass on the Guruship to Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. The next day, Guru Ji called the messenger and said that He shall come himself to Lahore for the hearing. Chandu was very furious when he learnt that the messenger came empty handed and that Guru Ji does not bother your commands. Jahangir asked him to hold on a few days. 
Once, Guru Ji was seated in Kotha Sahib, Baba Buddha Ji, Sri Hargobind Ji and Bhai Gurdas Ji was called in. Guru Ji looks at Baba Buddha Ji and asks, “Do you think Sri Hargobind Sahib is ready for Guruship?” Baba Buddha Ji with folded hands replied, “Both are of you have the same light.“ Bhai Gurdas Ji says, “Praises of Baba Buddha Ji is endless. They have had glimpses of all the previous Gurus and performed their service.” Guru Ji immediately passed on the Guruship to Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. The day was Jeth Vadi 8, 1663 Bk. (1605 CE). Guru Ji said to call all Sikhs upon his Joti Joyt at Sri Amritsar Sahib and tie the turban on Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib.

Corresponding to 21 Vaisakh 1762Bk (1705CE), An Exceptional Battle of Mukatsar was fought by 40 Sikhs against an attack by 25,000 Mughals. Sikhs won this battle within mere 3 Hours & 45 Minutes. This saga concludes with Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s unparalled blessings.

On 1st of Jeth 1767 Bikarmi (1710 CE), the dream and thirst of every Sikh to avenge the martyrdom of the Chhote Sahibzade was quenched when Nishan Sahib was raised over Sirhind and Wazir Khan punished to death. In order to achieve this mission, 6,000 Sikhs laid down their lives in this battle which marked the dawn of Khalsa Raj in Punjab.
