Katha Gurpertap Suraj Granth Raas 2

This is the 1st chapter of 2nd volume of Suraj Perkash Granth, Raas 2. Kavi Santokh Singh Ji starts off by invocating the 10 Gurus and then begins the history of Sri Guru Ram Das Ji. 
Sri Guru Ram Das Ji remains in a lovelorn state and is always focussed on Sri Guru Amar Das Ji. Once, seeing the dissatisfaction of Baba Mohan and Baba Mohri Ji that all the gifts are being given to Guru Ram Das Ji instead of them, Guru Ji left everything and sat in solitary. Baba Mohri Ji and Baba Buddha Ji goes to Guru Ji and pleads. Thus, bringing Guru Ji back to the Sanggat.

Gurpertap Suraj Granth Ras 2 Chapter 1

In this chapter, the Siddhas visits Sri Guru Ram Das Ji to ascertain the might of Guru Ji. Guru Ji answers their doubts and they accept Guru Ji as being Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Gurpertap Suraj Granth Ras 2 Chapter 2

In this chapter, Sri Guru Ram Das Ji blesses an egoistic Tappa (holy men) by answering all his doubts. The Tappa falls to Guru Ji's feet and becomes a Sikh. 
In the second part, Guru Ram Das Ji advises the Sanggat on the importance of Sewa and also gives the example of a man who gave food to the birds.

Gurpertap Suraj Granth Ras 2 Chapter 3

In this chapter, Baba Ram Koeir Ji (Baba Gurbaksh Singh Ji) will narrate start to narrate the history of Sri Amritsar Sahib. The Katha begins with the narration of the King of Chittor, Jaimal and his brother, Fatta. The duo were very respected by Akbar and this drew jealousy to the coutiers. Once, someone came to Akbar and said, "Jaimal has the best horse, elephant and a beautiful daughter. There is no one else besides you who should be in possession of these." Akbar sends a messenger to Jaimal to request him to hand over the horse, elephant and his daugher to Akbar. Jaimal disagreed as it was against his faith to give his daughter to someone of foreign faith. After 2 attempts, Akbar decides to attack Chittorgarh.

Gurpertap Suraj Granth Ras 2 Chapter 4

This chapter is the continuation of the previous wherein, Akbar reaches with his forces and blockades Chittorgarh but is unable to penetrate. The siege remains for few years and both sides are still fighting.

Corresponding to 21 Vaisakh 1762Bk (1705CE), An Exceptional Battle of Mukatsar was fought by 40 Sikhs against an attack by 25,000 Mughals. Sikhs won this battle within mere 3 Hours & 45 Minutes. This saga concludes with Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s unparalled blessings.

Katha Battle Of Mukatsar- A Descriptive Account

On 1st of Jeth 1767 Bikarmi (1710 CE), the dream and thirst of every Sikh to avenge the martyrdom of the Chhote Sahibzade was quenched when Nishan Sahib was raised over Sirhind and Wazir Khan punished to death. In order to achieve this mission, 6,000 Sikhs laid down their lives in this battle which marked the dawn of Khalsa Raj in Punjab.
