She was Velvet Vox, a jazz singer with a voice like satin soaked in starlight, drifting from roadside lounges to neon-lit dives across the Nevada desert. Her gigs were low-key, her style high-class, and her vibe? Pure cool. One night, after a late set near Rachel, Nevada, she took a detour past the blinking fences of Area 51 and stumbled onto something the government missed: a grounded spacecraft, half-buried in dust and mystery.
Inside were five aliens—same species, same groove, stranded but far from helpless. They called themselves The Vellari, a race known across galaxies for their musical intuition and impeccable style. Two males, three females. Brass, bass, drums, keys, and backup vocals. They didn’t panic. They didn’t plead. They jammed.
•	Rilo (bass) laid down lines so smooth they could melt asphalt.
•	Tessix (drums) kept time like a heartbeat in a velvet suit.
•	Zuna (brass) blew notes that shimmered like desert heat.
•	Mira (keys) Backup Vocals
•	Jax Backup Vocals
Velvet sang. They followed. Something clicked.
They fused Earth’s smoky jazz with Vellari soul-funk, creating a sound that was part speakeasy, part Salsa. They became The Galactic Misfits. Touring the Southwest in a retrofitted RV with alien tech and vintage flair, they played roadside diners, desert raves, and underground lounges, turning every gig into a cosmic communion.
They’re still waiting for rescue. But they’re not in a rush. Because when you’ve got groove, style, and a singer like Velvet Vox, you make the universe come to you.
