I didn’t write “We Are Charlie Kirk” as just another song. I wrote it because my heart was split wide open by what happened, a conviction like no other and I knew silence wasn’t an option. Charlie Kirk wasn’t just a man with a microphone—he was a fighter for faith, freedom, truth, and the American spirit. He stood tall against tyranny, against the lies that poison this country, and he never backed down, no matter the cost.

When evil tried to silence him with violence, I felt that weight like it hit my own chest. But I also felt something else ignite—a roar deep in the heart of America. Hey Y'all Im Will Thiery. I was born and raised in small USA town of 2500. Just a small town country boy. I love writing songs, poetry playing the guitar, riding my Harley, bonfires, hunting and fishing. I'm A Ret. Combat Wounded Marine. I was injured during Desert Shield & Desert Storm. Two Grade 3 concussions, causing a TBI, cPTSD & more. I came to find out in 2007 that I have been suffering in silence with a much bigger issue than the brain injury & all the other injuries combined. Something I held, deep rooted in my heart & soul. Only through my writing poetry, journaling, & song writing was I able to confront the deeper demons that were holding me down in a very dark place. As I wrote more I slowly began to understand what was really going on in my mind, heart and soul. I was suffering from a deap rooted MORAL INJURY. Honestly not 1 but 2. I was ashamed because I felt like I was weak, I'd gone soft and just needed to suck it up.  Through my writing I began to realize I wasn't soft, I wasn't weak I was honestly BROKEN. My story isn't unique really. I was lost and ashamed so in 2008 My 1st unsuccessful attempt at taking my own life. My 2nd attempt was in 2009 after I lost my wife of 15 years at the age of 39 to kidney failure. This time I was successful but the good Lord put the right emergency personel, Dr's and medical team that brought me back after 13 minutes. I felt alone, I felt like a burden, unworthy. But then like always I started writing again. IT SAVED MY LIFE more times than any Dr. could. I had a busted faith in God, I was angry he let me live. I still struggle with my faith today. I still struggle with the MORAL INJURIES but this time I'M NOT ALONE IN THE FIGHT. What I'm trying to say is WE ARE NEVER ALONE IN THE FIGHT. Even when we feel their is absolutely no other way to end the pain. There is a way. Putting your story, feelings and thoughts on paper will truly is a way to heal. My music, lyrics tell many stories of a life that was out of balance. Writing put that balance in a much more manageable state. I won't lie, it's not the tool in the box. But for me, it's the biggest and it's my goto. 

So please if you suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety or any other mental health conditions know you don't have to suffer in silence. Talk to someone who you trust. Allow them to understand. Remember this....
"If you can't see the brighter side, Then I will sit with you in the dark". If your feeling as if you have no other options please PAUSE, THEN DIAL 988 and talk to someone. You don't have to FIGHT ALONE LIKE I DID FOR OVER 25 YEARS.
