ZINOBE - Boomerang (Ft. Lana Lubany)

This is a very special track for me because of what it means and the reason that it came to be. My grandmother passed away and I was not able to attend the funeral, I was in another country. The day of the funeral I had this sadness within me that prevented me to focus on anything other that my feeling it. So I decided to do what I do when I'm emotional, I started making a new song. 

I wrote the piano that day and produced it a little. I then got together with Dominique in LA where she jumped in with her amazing voice. When the lyrics for it came out they said exactly what the song is about. I think its already evident that Dom just nailed it with her performance and emotion on the track. 

When I came back home to finish the track, I showed what I had to my friend Juanito, who then picked up the guitar and started jamming to it. He captured the feeling and I ended up recording him. His was the last touch to the song. 

this song has sooo much emotion, not just mine but from everyone who was involved in it, and it's a little treasure of mine for everyone going through something similar. 

I will always miss my grandmother and all the love she had for everyone in our family. To this day I still tear up every time I think of that day and the sadness I felt for not being able to say goodbye that one last time.
