Groove It

140 BPM Drop at 3:15

This is 303 focused techno with noisy percussion and loads of distortion washes in the second half. Rolls hard throughout with pretty poly-synth stabs sprinkled in for hits of sunshine. The last third of the record veers into tribal techno with crushed congas and a funk loop. This record works at any hour as long as it's dark and your audience is willing to see the light. 

Try slowing it way down during the break and hitting them hard with the drop.

The title comes from a conversation we had with Arkoniska and Shane about the most banal dreams they ever had.

TB-03, Mutable Instruments Ambika, Quasimidi 309 and DRUMSYNTH were used. Sequenced in Cubase and Pro Tools.

Ich glaube, kein anderer Titel beschreibt besser diesen Lebensabschnitt. 
Es war eine Rafting-Tour der Gefühle und Erfahrungen, wenn man so will.
Für mich, war es wie das berühmte Gefühl im Traum zu fallen.
Aber es war nicht das Gefühl des Fallens, dass mich durchströmte.
Sondern das Gefühl von Sicherheit, das man bekommt, wenn man realisiert, dass alles nur ein Traum war. 

Es war eine wilde Mischung aus einer Ich-Auflösung und unbefleckter Empfängnis.
Ich versuchte alles, das ich über Jahrzehnte mühsam erlernt hatte, wieder zu vergessen.
Es war zu abstrakt, um es verstehen oder akzeptieren zu können.
Viel zu lange schleppte ich es schon umher.
Es fühlte sich plötzlich nicht mehr richtig an.
Eher wie eine penetrante Fehler-Meldung im System, die man jedes Mal aufs neue wegklicken muss... oder man behebt halt das Problem... und fange dabei an zu lachen. 
"Ne, aufschieben geht ja schneller."

Plötzlich friert die Maus ein... dann Bluescreen.

Nichts geht mehr, außer meine Zeit. Die rennt.
Je relativer die Zeit gerade wird, desto sicherer werde ich mir, dass das absolut nicht so weiter gehen kann.

Ich formatierte also die Platte neu und schaffe damit erstmal Platz für neue Daten.
Oder viel mehr eigene Wahrheiten.
Unangetastet davon, blieb jedoch ein vorinstalliertes Back-up, welches in so einem Ernstfall als eine Art Messias im BIOS fungiert.

I used to be good at writing these but now I don't know where to begin (the bio, not the tunes!) hahahah

I come from humble beginnings, didn't know anyone in the scene and had no one to open doors for me, I just grafted relentlessly! I played a key part in the resurrection of Bowlers Exhibition Centre, I was regular there for a few years, playing at all the big events (Sidewinder, BassFest, S2S and more), plus I was a favorite at all the local clubs and bars in Tameside/Oldham etc.

I spend more time producing these days and doing radio work, I was a presenter on Unity FM for a while until I migrated to Bangkok, now I play for an internet station Method Radio which is going great. I have drawn inspiration from quite a few people (Zed Bias, Ian Bland/Dream Frequency, Shaun Lever, Simi Q Base, Kieran Partington, Aardonyx (Ben Jacob), Ess (Simon Carrigan) and a few more) all of whom I know personally and have worked with in some capacity (lucky me!!)

I have tunes out on various labels, Bunshin Records, Maison Records, Goodfellas (Colombia!), Anghellic, Broken Wings to name a few.... I am particularly happy to have made music that people listen to on a daily basis, this page draw 1000s of listeners per week and that never ceases to amaze me, so thank you for listening !!
