ABOUT APARATO EP (Machine)

¿What Will happen in year 3000? Alpha Beats joins Cales & Mr Hyde to make a bet and offer some answers to those who want to listen, in this new EP they present in collaboration.  And this is what they said: Artificial Intelligence technology developed starting the last millennium has now taken over some human activities.  The First Revolution of the Robots, creates the first conflict against humans: robots now flood the dance floors with their tin bodies, moving and shaking under the influence of electronic sounds. This war will not be with weapons, this will be a dance battle in a dance floor, humans versus robots; machines that know how to move, that shake their asses but don´t sweat, post apocalyptical mechanisms trained to dance. 

“Aparato” (Machine) is the first collaboration between these two artists, initially linked by projects that looked to boost Colombian Music in the middle of the world pandemic, and that have found time as well to join their ideas about music, and give answer to some essential questions for humanity, like how dancing will be in year 3000.  And this is their answer: Two tracks, two “Aparato” (Machine) Versions.  Number 1, the “Original Mix” is a mix of breaks, synthetic sounds and singing robots, that along an organic and human touch given by the chords and the bassline, create a track to dance slowly or to listen in a delectable state of relax.  No. 2, the “Future Disco Mix”, as its name suggests, is a version made for the dance floor.  Nu-disco futuristic sounds, synthetic elements from the 70s Disco Music, mixed with these singing machines, that the artists imagine dancing at unison, along human beings in the dance floors of the future.  Be our guests in this time machine.  Greetings from the future!

I used to be good at writing these but now I don't know where to begin (the bio, not the tunes!) hahahah

I come from humble beginnings, didn't know anyone in the scene and had no one to open doors for me, I just grafted relentlessly! I played a key part in the resurrection of Bowlers Exhibition Centre, I was regular there for a few years, playing at all the big events (Sidewinder, BassFest, S2S and more), plus I was a favorite at all the local clubs and bars in Tameside/Oldham etc.

I spend more time producing these days and doing radio work, I was a presenter on Unity FM for a while until I migrated to Bangkok, now I play for an internet station Method Radio which is going great. I have drawn inspiration from quite a few people (Zed Bias, Ian Bland/Dream Frequency, Shaun Lever, Simi Q Base, Kieran Partington, Aardonyx (Ben Jacob), Ess (Simon Carrigan) and a few more) all of whom I know personally and have worked with in some capacity (lucky me!!)

I have tunes out on various labels, Bunshin Records, Maison Records, Goodfellas (Colombia!), Anghellic, Broken Wings to name a few.... I am particularly happy to have made music that people listen to on a daily basis, this page draw 1000s of listeners per week and that never ceases to amaze me, so thank you for listening !!
