طارق الشيخ هو صاحب اللون الذي لن تجد له مثيل قديما أو حديثا ، حينما ابتدعت الاغنية الشعبية كانت على مبدأ سيد درويش ( الاغنية الشعبية هي الاغنية التي تعبر عن حالة الشعب ) ، وفي وقتنا لن تجد سوى طارق الشيخ ملك الاغنية الشعبية المطرب الوحيد الذي يصف حالة الشعب الذي يعيش حوله بالظبط وبالتفصيل سواء اكانت تصف حالة الشعب بالكاملة او انها تصف حالة مجموعة موجودة داخل المجتمع رأينا فيهم شيئا جديدا ، نجد أن طارق الشيخ هو الوحيد الذي يحاكي واقعنا بكل ما فيه
طارق الشيخ الذي اطربنا بصوته القوي وكلماته المبدعة التي حركت قلوبنا جميعا فهو خليفة الزمن الجميل امثال عبد الحليم وام كلثوم فهو يغني الاغنيه وتتعدي ال20 دقيقة ولا يكل ولا يتعب فهو غني اكثر من 80 اغنيه طوال 13 عاما و لونه الغنائي ليس شعبيا بحتا ولكنه شعبي بأسلوب خاص جديد بطارق وحده .. و الخلاصة هو من أعظم فنانين مصر في مجال الغناء، بس اللي يفهم (قراءة أقل)
