For the first episode of Shades Podcast series we are honoured to have a special set by Error Etica (Psychoskunk) aka Victor Martinez one of the most interesting project coming from Spain.

Victor Martinez is the owner of Psychoskunk Recordings, Producer, DJ and sound engineer, but also a reference in northern Spain about techno music, getting to play in several European cities like London, Leeds, Barcelona, Madrid etc..

With a career that spans over a decade Victor has developed a unique and personal style and can be seen in particular dj sets that venture through the many subgeneres of electronic music.

Victor has worked for foreign labels: Sect records (London-UK), Pohjola (Sweden), Shapeless (Italy) Etichetta Nera (Italy) Subsequent (Argentina), UTCH (Chile), D-Reflection (Netherlands), Lycaon (Spain) and various national Net-Labels..

Being faithful to his style and philosophy, Victor is in a continuous evolution betting for new sounds and new dimensions in the techno scene and bound to evolve in various fields of contemporary creation, as the soundtrack for the documentary (Thaidina música en el desierto) or several short films, trailers, commercials making off etc

His records and productions are regularly charted and played the likes of: Oscar Mulero, Claude Young, Luke Slater, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, DVS1, Xhin and many more...

Nowadays, he explores a new project with the a.k.a "Error Etica" which has the essence on the deeper side of life. Experimental, deep and dark sounds, departure from the hard rhythmic on behalf of way of understanding techno now a days, a sound carefully crafted and skillfully developed.

A guy far from fads and trends that often exposes deep, dark, rawness and energy, lots of energy.

Birmingham techno artist Anthony Child has rapidly built a solid and, to a certain extent, innovative catalog of minimal dancefloor techno since his Surgeon releases began appearing in 1991. Compared favorably with Detroit original Jeff Mills from his earliest Downwards singles on forward, Child's tracks have been a mainstay in the popular Motor City DJ's sets. Although Surgeon releases have worked an increasing affectation for acid and trance, an economy of sound and basic hardness combine his and Mills' sound. 

A noted and increasingly popular DJ himself, Child grokked his skills from hip-hop and electro jocks ("Tour de France" is a mainstay of his DJ sets), filling out his style with a driving toughness and appreciation for rapid cutting and flipping. Surgeon's entry into production was also noteworthy; urged on by producer Mick Harris (Child is a fan of Harris' Scorn project), the former Napalm Death drummer locked Child in his tiny studio, imploring him to "go mad." The result, the self-titled debut EP, was released on Downwards, and was instantly hailed as some of the highest quality U.K. techno of its time. Releases for Soma, Blueprint, Ideal Trax, and the ultra-exclusive Tresor label followed, with the debut LP, Basic Tonal Vocabulary, appearing on Tresor in 1997. Balance followed in 1998, as did Force & Form in 1999. 

More recent additions to his repertoire include releases on his Counterbalance imprint as well as collaborations with Regis as British Murder Boys, resulting in tracks which take a tone far darker, denser, and more industrial than those from his Tresor years. 

Equally influenced by early electro-pop innovators like Tomita and YMO, experimental groups like Can, Faust, and Suicide, and the tough grit of American electro and techno (Robert Hood, Hashim), Surgeon's mash-up is both straightforward and subtly experimental. Further influences from Coil, Psychic TV, and Whitehouse in recent works and DJ appearences do not go unnoticed.

PVS(Marco Piovesan) is the project that is the union of all the musical influences acquired over the years and with the raver experience, is the desire to experiment, in a unique style. He began playing in 1999 in his city, Rome, and making his own style and his idea of techno. Discovered by Freddy K follows him as a mentor, learn and work for him, while matures musically and lands to the CRS rec. of Conrad Von Orton and to Key rec of Freddy K and Mrec of Max M.
His idea of techno is only and exclusively desire to express in music his whole life, his experiences and his philosophy. A desire that an artist has inside and you can not repress or suppress ...

"One of the most impressive Conrad Van Orton's works ushers the new firestart for Rsvd Records: "Eight days off" bears all the heirlooms of his previous famous tracks , such as the ones from the standalone Strepto's EP, adding further values to his sound-shaping capibility: the kick off track, Crescia, deals with a bassline swirl built on a solid stomping pure-techno beats. "Terra" dresses with heavy kick-drums and complex morphed scale in a bass-synth dialogue. On the side the mind-tripping exploration continues with Cornelia. The original mix pushes distorted hypnotic bass and razor-like hi-hats involved in tensed drone-made melody. Sleeparchive's remix of Cornelia is a terror march gradually melting into an obscure sinister song. Without doubt Eight days off will become an everlasting release from Rsvd."

Korova is a young electronic duo based in Rome and made by Luca Filardo and Alessandro Fusaroli . The project starts in the 2008 and gets its name from the famous bar in Kubrick's Clockwork Orange : an odd babylon with a proper cult for the psychedely . These are both influence and spirit design their mental , throbbing , psychedelic and deeply dark sound . Their musical evolution wisely filters dark and industrial techno influences coming along all northern Europe and arrives to a massive production releasing on Raw waxes, Shades Records and RSVD. Korova perform their own livesets by laptops and they really take care about the dancefloor . That's why they've been resident since 2010 of Glucose , the famous techno event based in Rome with the most undergroud and rebel heirlooms.

He is currently immersed in creating a new label and alias “Error Ética”, showcasing elaborate and experimental sound design.
