Timo has been a dominant figure on the electronic scene for many years now.  Hailing from the small town of Buckeburg in Germany, Timo was DJing in the local clubs and in nearby Hannover from the age of 15. As rave culture took off in Germany, Timo latched on to this new musical revolution, DJing not only in his native Germany but also around Europe.  Productions followed, and by the end of the 1990s, Timo was a cranking out releases and big remixes for artists like Azzido Da Bass, Green Velvet, Depeche Mode, Fatboy Slim and many more.

A resident DJ at Ibiza’s DC10 for over ten years, and a DJ schedule that covers the world, Timo is currently busy with his label Rockets & Ponies, a newly released mix album on the My Favourite Robot label, and plenty of DJ dates…

Oh, what a year Glenn Astro had last year. Appearances on DJ Kicks (Brandt Brauer Frick) and Brownswood, umpteen remixes, and a string of beautifully-crafted EPs perforated 2014. This year is set to eclipse that. Buddying up with Max Graef, his new imprint Money $ex Records took flight in January and sold out pronto. Good luck finding a version on Discogs.  A debut longplayer on Tartelet Records - quickly becoming an office favourite - is on its way this spring too.

In between these comes the Hologram EP, two years after his first release on WotNot. "User’s Guide To" is the ultimate tutorial in dusty house, with rolling layers of percussion over smooth synth chords. All-in-all a great record to kick off a year that will see new records from K15, Kab Driver, Alphabets Heaven, and some new faces on WotNot.

DJ Qu and his penchant for sinister, house-y brilliance casts a shadow over our Debuts series today. The NYC gent has enjoyed an impressive run of releases for his Strength label over the years and racked up the air miles on his regular international excursions. 

"SS1" beats along the same trodden path of unerring four-to-the-floor - rhythmic, synth stabs and body-jerking percussive sways galore. It'll find a home on Secret Sundaze, that notoriously good Sunday daytime party and imprint from inner city London.

Ready yourself for its release on March 30 and get yourself down to the Secret Sundaze Easter party on April 2 to shake a leg.

Luca carries inspiration from art, architecture and his world travels, all of which contribute to his ever evolving, border-less approach to production.  Luca's recent remix of Khen's 'Pollen Spreader' was part of our 41st release and was a huge success, climbing all the way to #2 in the Beatport Electronica tracks chart, where it still sits today, at the time of this writing. The production saw play and support from Dixon, Lee Burridge, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo,  Frankey &amp; Sandrino and many more. For the fourth edition of our podcast Luca has prepared an exclusive studio mix which showcases his impeccable taste and exquisite  programming skills . Featuring new music from Andre Lodemann, Denis Horvat, Roman Flugel and more, as well as two yet to be released tracks from Luca himself.
