Diving into Merck-styled dynamics — think Deceptikon, Kristuit Salu vs Morris Nightingale — this disjointed bed of slippery beats and wobbly low-end may initially appear aligned with the current trend of experimental-dubstep but has more in common with electrified hip-hop and fresh rhythms to keep 3am dance floors adrift. Fresh samples adjacent to rhythm-snaps flex and contort next to melody-drenched focal points. While the Merck references may seem dated considering they closed shop years ago, one can’t help but be displaced when listening to these eight skeletal structures of background and foreground spaces. Should Shadow Attack continue to manipulate extraterrestrial soundwaves, it’ll be no surprise to see this musician expanding his audio-territory in 2012."
