Medley of 3 short pieces that seem to fit together. There are lots of tempo and rhythmic changes in this one! The first part is quite weird, skip to 1:20 for the second part in 7/4. The third part starts at 2:58 a simple round in 4/4.

Dramatic Chromatic - Old mix listen to alternate version

A track from my "Freespace Soundtrack Expansion Project", the second part of which has been collected into an album called "Synesthetic Xenotype II: The Lost Generation". Slated for official release on December 1, it will have 24 unique tracks, and 8 pairs of bonus ambience and battle variants, and a bonus remix, for a total of 41 tracks. The individual tracks have already been released to the Freespace modding community.

This is a mainhall/main menu/theme track inspired by the Terran Destroyer "GTD Hecate", originally appearing in Freespace 2. This was also the first track I completed that used Omnisphere - specifically, the soprano voice. The original Freespace 2 soundtrack used this source via Spectrasonics Symphony of Voices; the SoV sources are riddled throughout my new album, particularly in the Shivan-inspired tracks. My hope is that it blends nostalgia and originality in a positive way.

In a cave in Jotunheim, the giant wolf Fenrir is tied to the ground by the magical chain Gleipner. A sword is stucked through its mouth to prevent it from biting the Gods. Every day you can hear its rage and mourns. Endless torment and suffering. Who would have thought that this mighty creature, who are destined to swallow Odin himself at Ragnarok, once was an innocent little wolf pup suckling at the breasts of its mother Angrboda? Let the story of Fenrir remind us that even the most broken and vicous beings were innocent when they came from the womb. It is the scars of life  that shape us, not whether we were born God, man or wolf.

Raise, fallen Einherjars. The Valkyries have left us at the foot of Bifrost, the rainbow road to Asgard. Let us enjoy our last travel in life until we face the gates at Bifrost´s end.

Little demo made exclusively with Xsample libraries. No click track used, no quantization nor any MIDI editing was done. Objective of this little composition is to demonstrate the "plonkability" of the Xsample woodwind instruments. Hence just the one (legato) patch was used for the entire recording (both sustained and short notes) and it was all recorded in one take.

My son and I made this for fun on a sunday afternoon. It's a mix of Hedwig's Theme, some Mando shakuhachi flutes and the "Hey" choir from the Boba Fett theme. We had tons of fun making this.

Unmixed. Unmastered. Lots of smiles. Started around 14.30 PM and finished 17 PM because we promised to cook dinner ;-)
