2064年 Recordings, specializing in futuristic electronica, presents a release from label curator SHADOW UNIT. The EP consists of five tracks, each representing a story that happened to me over the year and a half since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This album is about the hope that remains with us, even now.

‘ANGEL CRY’ was the first track I began writing at the very start of the invasion. It’s about the hope that still lives within us.

‘SPRING ENERGY’ is about the energy that emerges at the turning point of spring — when winter truly dies, and new life begins.

‘PRAY’ is the most hypnotic track on the EP. I love playing it in my sets. The version on the album has been newly mastered and differs from the single.

‘MAGIC DAY’ is inspired by long walks in the forests of Kyiv. I’ve been planning this day for a while, and I call it ‘Magic Day.’ Everyone needs a day like this.

‘LOVE AND AFFECTION’ has a summer vibe. We recorded it last summer, together with Sasha Dog. It’s the lightest track on the album, and it perfectly concludes this story.

2064年 Recordings is a label founded by Yaroslaw Marcinkowski (Shadow Unit) in 2018. It specializes in futuristic electronics and aims to promote electronic music born in Ukraine. The label will cease to exist in 2064, and until that time, we’re here.
