Underground trap music curation collective Boost Gang presents Boost Tape 03, their latest compilation supporting the Recording Academy-backed healthcare charity MusiCares. The compilation, out May 6th, is a selection of crowd-sourced singles from both established and emerging artists. EDM trap legends HUCCI, JWLS (of Good Times Ahead), and Masayoshi Iimori debut rare IDs, while rising stars So Sus, Farrah, Floret Loret, and Rohaan share new tracks that explore a range of genres. Drum n’ bass, trap, breakbeat, and more are featured on Boost Tape 03, for a fresh take on the sounds shaping tomorrow’s generation of producers. 100% of Boost Tape 03’s proceeds from Bandcamp sales will be donated to MusiCares, which provides essential and preventative healthcare assistance and aid to musicians. I've been thinking back on the 2017-2020 era of deep house and melodic techno recently because that was the sound of Brooklyn when I first moved there and I’ve been missing home. No matter how much my taste evolves, this vibe will always have a place in my heart.

Those first few years of Cityfox and Morgana parties at Mirage/AG changed my life—I wouldn't be who I am or have the community I belong to if I hadn't been there. It was a really special time and place to be alive & young. That scene is a lot different today, but I'll always be grateful we got to experience it then.

This is my soundtrack to watching the sun rise over Bushwick; to being 23 and feeling like the city has a new surprise for us around every corner; to finding my friends and myself on the dance floor.

That same sense of wonder and excitement still hits me sometimes. I hope it never goes away.
