🗯🗯 Was ist dein Lieblings-Club oder Festival und warum? 🗯🗯

Mein Lieblings-Club ist definitiv der Südpol in Hamburg. Von Profis für Profis. Dort hat es den einzig wahren Nebel, alles andere ist nur schlechte Sicht. Herrlich unkompliziertes Personal, bunte Mischung an Gästen und eine der besten Sound-Anlagen Deutschlands. Ja, das ist mein Happy-Place ❤

🗯🗯 Verwendest du neue Technologie oder bist du eher klassisch unterwegs? 🗯🗯

Da ich fast nur eigene Sachen spiele und ein paar wenige Tracks von Freunden kenn ich die Tracks in- und auswendig , das ist sehr wichtig wenn man die Funktionen der Player ausreizt, da geht einiges und ich bin absolut frei in dem was ich da mache. Ich loope viel, bau neue Tracks aus meinen vorhandenen, alla den bass von hier , Vokals und Synthes von hier.... So passiert ständig was neues, unvorhergesehenes ... Mein Anspruch ist immer unberechenbar zu bleiben...

INTERVIEW

1. Where do you get your inspiration from?
"I draw much of my inspiration from parties I play at. Suddenly I'll hear something that I really connect with. I don't care how old music is, either it affects me or not. There is so much good music out there. Some of it is old now, and people tend to forget a lot of that old music. Nowadays DJs play published tracks for only 2-3 weeks. In my opinion, this is really sad."

2. In which ways could the scene improve in the future?
"To improve our scene I would love to see DJs be brave again and not all being the same. I would love to see DJs thinking outside the box ot better yet, outside Beatport Top 50."

3. What makes you laugh?
"Sometimes you will see me laugh during a set. If you do, don't worry, I am just laughing about myself. It’s quite funny and it happens sometimes during my sets when I'm deeply focused. Being focused like that tends to take me into my own little realm, my favorite tunnel of a sort, in a different dimension."

4. Most profound insight you had since you started this career?
"There are 3 simple ways to achieve direct response on the dancefloor: Volume, tempo and pressure. I'm not the "simple way“ kind of guy 😁"

5. You in 11 years?
"I expect myself to spend a lot of time in the studio, but I really also hope I can keep on being able to play some cool gigs and festivals. I'm already to to old to die young."

Shadow Wulf emerged at the beginning of 2020 as the ferociously dark cub of existing House and Techno label Wulfpack. The new sister label was founded by producers Aaron Jacobs, Crescendoll (Erin Parisi), and Drew Blyther when they recognized an opportunity to fill a void in LA’s underground scene. Thanks to Shadow Wulf, the Dark Psytechno / Minimal Techno sounds more popular overseas have found their place in the den of Southern California. The founders have set out to collaborate with producers from around the world and provide a twisted auditory landscape for a global audience.
