Pakate Records returns to the game after a year hiatus. The WMC Miami 2022 compilation was packed with so many gems that it took a while to regain all the energy needed to provide the best we could. 002 "I Can Feel It" is finally here courtesy of Rhoger and Blockhead, with the man FLETCH once again shaping the Pakate sound with two remixes. 

Opening cut, "I Can Feel It", provides playful skipping rhythms, shuffling percussions and soulful vocals alongside a pushy synth that carries the track on its 6 minutes ride. On the "Midnight Dub" version, British young talent FLETCH kicks things off nice and deep with a delicate tight groove, romantic deep stabs and wavy low ends for the perfect club opener. Otherwise, his "Club Dub" remix speaks for the busiest hours of the night, offering solid broader drums, pulsating basslines, and spiralling atmospheres - still keeping everything elegant and classy as we expected. Can You Feel It Now?

Rhoger & Blockhead - I Can Feel It

One of the most prolific tech-house Argentinean producer Jay de Lys returns to the label with 2 powerful but elegant tech-house tracks: fat basslines, detailed arrangements, great hook choices. 'Wild & Free' have an amazing vocal leading the track and 'Can't Get Enough' is modern acid tech-house for all audiences. Solid release!

New York City–based producer Ford Scott makes his label debut with four club-ready weapons that fuse deep minimal grooves with high-energy drive. Drawing inspiration from 90s house while adding his own modern edge, Ford has caught the attention of some of the scene’s biggest names with his innovative basslines, meticulous sound design, and relentless dancefloor focus.

The A-side opens with Watch Out, a crafty, rolling bassline paired with sleek, layered synth work and captivating sound design. Next up, Work That Body delivers suspense-filled builds and explosive drops, pairing hypnotic vocal chops with a punchy bassline for a full-throttle dancefloor weapon.

On the B-side, The Message channels 90s hip-hop swagger into a groovy, bass-driven cut with intricate melodic textures and fluid, evolving atmospheres. Closing out the EP, Can’t Sit Down turns up the heat with futuristic synth stabs, a driving low end, and a tightly-wound arrangement that refuses to let the energy drop.

SUPERFETT RECORDS serves up release number four and again knocks it out of the park with a slick track from SHAF HUSE.

Though relatively new to the scene, the Milan producer has won fans for his shuffling, tech-meets-house productions and remixes on labels like Avotre. He’s also producer with Music On resident Leon and has had his ‘Mavado’ tune named as an anthem by Ibiza party Circoloco during last years closing season.

„Get Em Up“ is a techy, bristling tune with razor sharp hi hats and nebulous vocals drifting and shifting about the mix. It’s a punchy but loose groove that really gets under your skin and builds through percussive energy to an arresting peak. When it drops again, the club will go wild as the robust drums groove on. Heavily already played and loved by Luciano, Loco Dice, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones and Patrick Topping to just name a few big players. :)

The young Italian’s emergence onto the global circuit certainly didn’t go unnoticed either, with releases on the likes of Yoruba Grooves and D-Floor Music and collaborations with Music On resident LEON, whilst gracing the decks at key venues across Europe (Ministry Of Sound, Egg London, Amnesia Milan, AIR Amsterdam) and South America (Club Room Chile). Following the release of his heavily championed ‘Get Em Up’ this March, early-May will welcome the arrival of a fresh and highly anticipated two tracker on Roush, with both productions set to become firm fixtures across the terraces of the White Isle and beyond throughout 2018. New school house tastemakers Mason Collective make a big bang with their explosive Play It Say It label debut.

Mason Collective are a red hot outfit blowing up the house scene right now. The trio of DJs and producers hail from Manchester and next to their robust club tracks on labels like Whippin Records, Loco Dice’s Desolat and HotTrax, they also promote their own hugely popular - and always sold out - MVSON events.

Their no-nonsense style is here for all to see from the off; 'That's Gas' has a superbly programmed and tightly woven groove that is infectious and propulsive. Sci-fi sounds, filtered vocals and skewed synths peel off the urgent groove and demand you dance. The warm and rubbery 'Ready to Work' echoes Chicago great Gemini with its paranoid bass and vocals as well as high speed sense of house funk.

The wonky titular track shows another side to the collective: it's a freaky late night jam with daubs of melody, unhinged and wispy synths and a kinetic minimal house groove. This most expressive EP finishes with the slick tech and driving drums of 'Steezin', which has a flurry of 909s, taught bass and chopped up vocal sounds that will set any dance floor alight.

This is a fresh, high class take on house music from these contemporary stars.
