We're turning things up for the sixth instalment of the Shakara Mix Series. We've got our good friend Plantainchipps aka @neekstunes providing you with the motivation to get you through to the end of the week.

Plantainchipps has been a favourite of ours for a while now, the way she shifts through genres with so much ease and grace you can't help but dance. Her affection for Afrobeat taking centre stage in this mix as she touches on her many other influences like House, R&B, Ballroom and Baile Funk.

In 2015 Wheelman started the Glasgow club series Stereotone which expanded into a label a year later. 
Since then he has become a staple of the Scottish club scene and released music on Studio Barnhus, Don't Be Afraid and Belters which has furthered his reputation in the rest of the UK and beyond.

So with that ethos in mind, with Shakara we aim to present a wide range of styles and genres from Afrobeat to Brazilian Funk, from So-Ca to Soul, from Dub to NY Disco heaters and everything in between. We aim to promote an inclusive atmosphere where all are welcome and negative energies are left at the door.
