The summer-sound-forecast: a "breeze" of madness!

This track is a love letter to a synth. Rarely a sound has been so exhausted, modulated, modified and was still in a nutshell. "The Breeze" definitely was on of the underground electronic summer anthem in 2012.

Released as a whitelabel, nobody knew who was the driving force behind this wicked sound-creation. So it was a big surprise for many artists who played 'The Breeze' to get the information that no one else but Dr. Motte and Gabriel Le Mar produced it.

The limited vinyl edition of just 200 records was sold out within a few weeks.

Berlin producer, composer and sound designer NOCUI returns with his new single ‘Starlight Delight’ from the forthcoming EP of the same name. The single arrives on September 1st via Shapeless Culture. 
 
Italian born musician and producer Leonardo Di Fiore, better known as NOCUI, has garnered a solid reputation for meticulous sound-work, absorbing rhythms, seductive and memorable club music that spans a breadth of influences from 00s house to Mediterranean and Latin references. 
 
On ‘Starlight Delight’, NOCUI takes us to a carefree disco-acid wonderland, where pianos loop, 303 bubbles and saxes swirl through a captivating sonic spacescape. As the vocal invites us to ‘dance tonight.. forget about all your problems’, the track delivers spades of late summer escapism like the joyful abandon of a Pikes pool party, margarita in hand. 
 
A vibey stargazy treat that does exactly what it says on the tin. Essential.

“This track was a real turning point for me. It was probably one of the hardest tracks to create in my whole production experience. The hardest part was not the technical aspect of it, but reaching quite literally the “vibe” I felt inside. In a certain sense this track helped me clarify to myself the direction I wanted to go as an artist, and the emotions I wanted to convey with my music. As a musician that loves club music it’s always been very hard to find that middle ground, and the method to do this in general was hard to decipher. With this track I believe I have learned the method through trial and error, but now I have a better idea of what my musical language is. This learning process gave birth to a track I’m truly proud of.”
