London-based producer @Holloway-95 debuts his first 140 project on @earfulofwax, sounding fresh out the mid-naughties, expect club rattling subs in the form of stripped-back Dubstep pressure. The EP showcases an elating, garage-influenced, forward-thinking sound somehow nostalgic and yet also completely new.

‘Levitate’ kicks off with a hypnotic, heads-down mood with
deep subs and dubbed-out vocals. At the switch-up Holloway’s idiosyncratic basslines are introduced for those gun-finger, energetic
moments in the club.

Heading into the new year off the back of a series of successful releases and events, Sub Merchants are excited to announce the next instalment of singles that will culminate in our third full-length EP - 'Columbia Road' - an exploration of contemporary garage and breaks in the year 2022, soundtracked by those pushing the scene forward in new and exciting ways.

With that, we are kicking off proceedings with none other than Denmark's own Main Phase, paired with the smooth vocal flow of Rakjay. With the last couple of years presenting releases from the enigmatic producer on Time Is Now Records, ec2a, Dansu Discs are more, 2021 was far from a slow year for Main Phase, and we’re excited to be welcoming him to the label for his debut offering. ‘Smoke’ is a certified soundsystem onslaught, dragging the genre down to its murky roots, with Rakjay’s effortless vocals skimming across the surface of the music.
