Phat Controlla made a splash on the label last summer with his take on ‘Ignited Flows’ from BBC Three’s UK Rap Game Champion - Graft. Exactly a year on we welcome him onto the FNG series for his first official release with a four-to-the-floor speed garage warper channeling his inner northern roots for ‘IMSONORF’.

The Phat Controlla is another unearthed gem of the Kiwi Records label who started producing in 2017. Having kept a relatively low profile only sending out finished works to a very select few, The Prince Of UKG - Conducta soon picked him up for the the Kiwi shows keeping its promise of highlighting the NUKG talent, firstly at Kiwi Hush (Keep Hush) followed by three legs of the BK2SKL Tour in Autumn 2019.

Since then he has gone on to appear on Rinse FM on numerous occasions, including alongside the Kiwi camp for the Kiwi Records: Christmas Special as well as releases across Mangoes + Melons and Strictly House & Garage. Alongside Conducta’s heavy handed support he has amassed support from the likes of DJ Q, Sammy Virji, Sharda, and the icing on the cake.. his main inspiration and UKG icon Todd ‘The God’ Edwards.
