Italian pairing Ruff Stuff have been living quite a charmed existence of late. Known individually as Nanni & Francois, this house-loving pair have rocked up on a host of well-renowned labels, including Quality Vibe, Neovinyl, Berlin Bass Collective, and King Street Sounds. However, it’s their work on their own label, the aptly names Ruff Stuff Music Ltd, for which they’re arguably best renowned.

PREMIERE: Ruff Stuff - BrainTrust [Ruff Stuff Music Ltd]

The MacLo boys are back on Rhythm Department Records with a cracking 4 track EP entitled ‘Not Here For Palm Trees’. 4 quality house cuts bound to make your heads bop and your knees wobble.

The EP opens with the ever lively ‘Understand’. Clever use of loose drums and shabby chord stabs result in an admirable little house number.

‘Do You Freak It’ incorporates catchy vocals, horn stabs and dancing synth melodies for a fresh take on garage house.

‘E-Mode’ Is inspired by nights in Glastonbury’s NYC Downlow. Jackin’ drums, and soulful vocals make it that perfect secret weapon for late night dark spaces.

‘Wont Let You Get Away’ is the sleaziest MacLo track to date. Bumping raw drums, a sleazy synth line and soaring vocals make the perfect recipe to take down and dirty to a new level.
