Presenting NS004, our first ever V/A compilation, Penumbra; an eclipse between the perfect shadow and the full light. 

The ‘light’ side, featuring three new originals from Nativ, whose track ‘Shifty’ has become nothing short of a UK funky classic, Club Glow's Borai bringing the 90s rave nostalgia, and rising producer LUXE closing with dreamy pads and euphoric keys with ‘On The Up’.

On the ‘dark’ side, three remixes to pair, from London lad Shawn Cartier, Cali-based Farsight, and Raiders Records very own Young Lychee - bringing their own spicy slant to our three originals.

Myledo - Sum Ting Slow

Off Beat return with their third release - a mind-bending three-tracker from label-head Ryvahl.

Kicking things off is title track ‘Protopattern' - an off-the-wall sub-bass nose and chest tickler with heavy, scattered drums that are modulated to destruction.

'Send Signal' continues in the same vein with more of the classic sound design of Ryvahl’s previous work. Swift, choppy, UK sounds combine with juke hits, drum machines and dingy reverbs to expand the stereo field into a 4D landscape.

Closing out the release is the playful 'Blacklight'. A drum tool that would appeal to fans of Pearson Sound and early Night Slugs records. Big tip!

After Mani Festo’s last contribution to our techno-oriented Basement Tracks series, a sequel was a no-brainer. It’s no exaggeration to say that over the last couple of years the DJ, producer and label boss has become widely recognised as one of the UK’s most exciting techno artists, given his easily identifiable sound, each release just as bold and hard-hitting
as the last - this one included.

Synkron EP boasts Mani Festo’s ability to create raw, industrial electronics which never sacrifice movement nor swing. Each track is crafted with a precise direction, some via industrial electro instrumentals (‘Barricade’); others with acidic accents and the introduction of breaks (‘Grass Snake’) and another with hard techno proclivities (‘Synkron’). If this weren’t enough, we’re stoked to draft in iconic Bristol producer Addison Groove who adds sharp rim shots and spasmodic synths to ‘Barricade’ to give it even more movement and body.

Alex Session has rightly crowbarred himself firmly into the limelight in 2018. Impeccable songwriting, original productions and an staunch work ethic means that Alex is spearheading a new movement of fresh producers making huge waves across the bass world. He is undeniably one to watch in 2018. 
Alex's second offering of the year via our Punks imprint is a rather tasteful collaboration with Ninja Tunes own Ciara Haidar. The bass line on this one is deep and unwavering, complimented by Ciara's beautifully haunting vocals that are carried through a multitude of hands in the air moments by some rather wonderfully programmed amen breaks. 
Follow me is one of the freshest sounding jams to have come through our office in a while. This record is taylor made for those anthemic late night festival moments that live on in the memory long after the party is over.
