Following up his recent EP, Oddkin, on Human Pitch, Mexico City based producer and visual artist Tristan Arp delivers a diverse and imaginative 4 tracker on Eternal Ocean. ‘Alternate Looking Glass’ the first track and namesake of the project opens up with a flurry of tuned percussion and celestial voices, playfully oscillating between the club focused rhythms and a sensibility akin to the works of Philip Glass and Midori Takeda. “Curved Space’ takes a similar approach but this time creating a mysterious and obscure world created through a masterful use of foley recordings and polyrhythmic structures that create a sense of the tempo being pushed and pulled at the same time. The album closes with 'Air Portrait’ and ‘Probability Horizon’, two ambient sound sculptures that speak to Tristan’s affinity for design and visual space with their intricate melodies and textures playing off one another as they glide across the soundfield, exploring a new space in this young artist’s highly developed palette.

Sparked by a fresh batch of demos Monotronique landing in the Livity Sound inbox, this EP is presented as an act of solidarity with the wider UA club community.

Born and raised Kharkiv, Ukraine, Monotronique aka Roman Kurhan made his first steps into electronic production in 2013 and has since released on and contributed to labels such as Opal Tapes, Banoffee Pies and Hyperboloid Records.

As a DJ he is known on the Kharkiv club scene making regular appearances at clubs such as Zhivot, where he is a resident, spinning his eclectic selections with a focus on underground house, techno and bass leaning dance music.

Between 1 April 2022 and 30 September 2022, food banks in the Trussell Trust’s UK-wide network distributed 1.3 million food parcels to people facing hardship – this is an increase of 52% compared to the same period in 2019. Half a million of these parcels were distributed to children. The charity says that for the first time, need for emergency food is outstripping donations as the cost of living emergency is leading to a drastic increase in the number of people turning to food banks for support.

With this situation being more urgent than ever, Vief are delighted to announce their 2nd charity compilation will be raising funds for the Trussell Trust. Not only providing incredibly vital, immediate support to people facing hardship, the charity also works tirelessly towards the goal of ending the need for food banks in the UK.

Spanning genres and tempos, reticulation stands as the label’s most ambitious project to date, and owes its thanks to the immense talent and generosity of the 20 producers involved.

2022’s hottest find, @parallels4 have rapidly acquired reverence with a series of highly acclaimed self-releases alongside a couple of singles on the CloudCore. Opaque is apt reflection of what makes the pair's music so highly sought after – a track sitting perfectly at the crossroads between house and UK techno.
