Arriving now on Brooklyn’s toucan sounds label under his Shifting
Gears moniker, the DJ/producer turns in two Jazz and Hard Bop inspired club-not-club tracks on ‘Drum Nation’.

Leading the release, title cut ‘Drum Nation’ sees loose drums and jazz scales meet crunchy production, delivering a deeply musical and punchy house track. ‘Average Hoshina Sound’ sees more delightfully lo-fi production as wonky stabs and glistening pads culminate in an energetic mid-point build-up, making for a high energy dancefloor-focused accompaniment to the title track.

Following on from two full-length EPs released as part of our Lost Palms series, Lxury returns to the Shall Not Fade catalogue with a euphoric single capturing his experimental approach to house in all its pop-infused idiosyncrasy.

After Light EP is gleeful and buoyant: dance music without the stern face. On the title track, melody takes centre stage as staccato synth stabs caper over a minimal pulsating 4/4 beat. S. Undulata welcomes a change in pace with a BPM of 140, pitched-up vocals and glistening pads which are enough to induce a blissful reverie, like its namesake - a sacred plant also known as African dream root.

London based producer and one half of high soaring duo @Kassian, @warren_xclnce steps up with his warm and colourful take on the original mix of @sofa_talk's 'Raw Ivy'. Warren hits all the right notes, preserving the original's jazzy sensibility with an added layer of percussive crunch.

The acclaimed ‘South Side’ LP from Italian Maestro Sofatalk has received the remix treatment on @BrokenDistrict, with four diverse cuts by Contours, Jus Jam, Tour-Maubourg and Xclnce.
