Long Shot Poems For Broke Players is an uplifting and groovy house track with a hint of Moff & Tarkin trademark production along with some input from his friend Elias Thorsson. Along with the original Viktor Birgiss presents us with a remix of the track that has a different approach which makes the relase in our opinion, more versatile.

Talking To Myself adds to the diversity of the release and is more of the late night groover that will make us dance and forget.

Lagaffe Tales continues the tradition to release Icelandic deep house music but releases featuring artists abroad is on schedule in the next months.

Touted as the next Lindstrom, Third Attempt is the production moniker of Torje Fagertun Spilde, a 22 year old artist and DJ based in Tromsø. A natural fit for Beatservice' left-field take on cosmic disco and wonky house, Third Attempt's album 'World Is Too Loud' continues with his signature style of funk and disco, jazz and deep house . Here we feature 'Transit'; an organic slice of downbeat jazzy grooves. Shuffling drums and slick live elements combine for a smokey, bluesy affair. Unmistakable in its Nordic style, and reminiscent of early Paper Recordings and Svek Records.

After a small digital break, here is new record from the Comic Sans' vaults. First world appearance for Low Khey with 10 tracks exploring the 90-100 bpm side of experimental bass music. Call it mutant dancehall, deconstructed dub or industrial riddims, it's difficult to describe precisely in which genre the release falls. Let's just imagine that Vybz Cartels' beats met Adrian Sherwood's punk dub sound design and that the whole thing was supervised by the evil twin of DJ Python. The big space left to the drums and the precise use of robotic sound-effects give a hyper-mechanical aspect to the riddim tracks which are aired by several interludes made of weird FX making it sound like futuristic commercials for spaceships or intergalactic bitcoin exchange. The whole project has hidden references to artificial intelligence and problems that human are facing regarding the technology. The world in wich Low Khey lives is dominated by machines, and mankind is having a rough time to say the least! But there is hope for our Homo Sapien friend... If only he kept in mind this simple advice : Never. Trust. A. Cyborg.

Whilst all are deeply rooted in a spiritual and ethereal sound, his most majestic output has arguably come to life through the https://soundcloud.com/illuvia alias. After capping off a debut, self-titled album in 2017 with an atmospheric Drum and Bass track, it quickly sparked a two-year conversation between Ludvig and A Strangely Isolated Place to pursue a full record in this style. 

Focusing on the far reaches of both the Ambient and Drum and Bass spectrums, Iridescence Of Clouds, combines the two extremities. Soaring, euphoric Ambient textures overlay distant echoes of driving Drum and Bass, before subtly transitioning to drums at the forefront, once again.

Typically atmospheric Drum and Bass song structures become blurred, as half-step kick patterns sit amongst more recognizable Amen breaks; or reverb-heavy drums; often echoing the worlds of Ludvig’s other aliases - his fingerprint instantly recognizable. The expected breakdowns are often ephemeral; teased slowly into existence and then faded into the background as each track weaves in and out of the two musical spectrums and the progressive emotion of the album unfolds at a glorious, soaring pace.

Hot on the heels of two EP releases on Bristol label Shall Not Fade, Felipe Gordon is preparing for the release of his debut album on the important UK imprint. With human contact at an absolute minimum, it’s refreshing to hear an electronic music record that ventures away from the machine in favour of the organic. Gordon’s ability to blend complex jazz instrumentation with acid-licked basslines, golden-age house aesthetics and the cultural sounds of South America is unrivalled; creating distinctive, beautiful and exciting house records from his home in the Colombian capital of Bogota.

A Landscape Onomatopeya was crafted through the concept of a painting; exploring shades, changes of tone, use of light. “I found myself making tons of music and wondering how to start an album process”, he says, “something with more concept; a long journey between all the different musical influences in my head. I wanted to try to accomplish something with soul, deepness and an inherent melancholia to it. More organic, more human.”

The record – which includes the Spanish word Onomatopeya as a Colombian statement and ode to the Latin American house scene – kicks off with the early evening funk of ‘How Do You Spell That’, the distinct sugar cane sweetness of Guaro hanging in the late sunlight. ‘Wes’ ventures into hip hop territory; dusty boom baps, 90’s scratching and live guitar provoking a vibe that lies somewhere between Dilla and fellow Colombian AvenRec before the A-side reaches its climax with a cut of Gil Scott-Heron-esque funk on ‘She Will Come’.

The B-side raises its curtain and with it comes two cuts of sublime house, each more colourful than the last. ‘The Colombian Excursions of House Music’ does exactly what is says on the tin; fusing South American drum patterns with the creative innovation of live jazz to create a dimly lit, Latin American energy. ‘Momma, It’s A Long Journey’ maintains a more progressive vibe as it meanders through subtle acid stabs, radiant atmospherics and an oxymoronic blend of mournful, hopeful vocals.
Tape throbs and breakbeats make up the C-side as we delve deeper into Gordon’s sound palette: think The Cyclist and Kaytranada, but with an Ibero-American vibe. ‘Howl’ meanders slowly through the smoke-filled booths of a jazz café whilst the sounds of Detroit and Chicago shatter and break (‘Away’, ‘Das Nuyorican Vibes’) over the crowd below on , before ‘Brazil’ invites you outside for a post-dance cigarette with its downtempo boom-bap and mellow energy.

The record comes to its end with three D-side cuts that perfectly encapsulate its artistic vision. “Like the album itself, the artwork process was all about texture and analog treatment”, he says. “We used old pentax cameras with black and white ilford rolls to achieve an intimate feeling. I found that my mind was drawn to a landscape with a house deep inside the bogotá mountains; where I hang all the time with my girlfriend and friends. It’s a quiet, emotional place. Far from the city.”

Wiggling basslines, vibrant shimmers and bold jazz instrumentals bring a fitting end to a truly beautiful record, and further cements Shall Not Fade’s reputation as a label with its finger on the pulse of exciting dance music.

Whilst the club setting may feel detached from many of us at this time, Secretsundaze’s forthcoming release, courtesy of the Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange, will transport you back to the depths of the dancefloor’s energy. A three track EP which is sustained by Ziggy Zeitgeist’s rhythmic consistency on the drums – his scintillating live performance at Church of Sound in August 2019 caught the eyes of the label, leading to the fruition of this project.

His sonically ambidextrous ear has culminated in this compelling piece of work. Having met Berlin-based artist Wayne Snow at a record shop in Neukölln, the pair started jamming together at a converted office space in a building that was attached to a techno club. Their afterhours sessions were mixed with spontaneous trips to the club, allowing Wayne’s soulful vocals and Ziggy’s broken drum patterns to seamlessly merge with the darker, more heavy textures of the club environment.

Wayne’s silky offering on Something Special allows the serenading seven-and-a-half-minute meditation to unravel gradually, enchanting the dancer with its harmonious house beat, accompanied alongside interweaving melodic layers, from Finn Rees on keys, that build its trance.

Michal Poncar started his playing in 1993 under a name DJ Face. In that times it was just in small places near Prague. As an eager Radio 1 listener he met Béla Némeshegyi and very soon he started to write reviews for Béla..s Pareniste server under a nickname Myclick.

In 1999 he was also contributing with reviews of new records to Tripmag magazine thanks to Honza Babka who was editor in chief in that time. One year later, after his work for Trance.cz server, Mellow with Dan Kafka offered him a collaboration with Techno.cz.

After reviews with unbelievable 13.000 types he is enjoying writting of voluminous reports from the events he took part in. He is preparing news from the world of dance music for this website and publishes DJ beginners..sets. Since 2004 you can hear him two times a week on
Akropolis Internet Radio in programmes Techno.cz on Akropolis Radio and Techno.cz In Da Mix where he is interviewing DJs and mixing live sets right in studio.

House in all its periods was his favourite. But there was basic change at the end of 2001 and the beginning of 2002. Then he was contacted by <a href="http://www.lucasross.net" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Lucas Ross</a> the guitar player, Mataro purchased electronic percussion and Face 2 Face project had got its roughcast. Every performance took place with different guests and with different repertory. Five musician formation Face 2 Face with records and live instruments combination was performing beside small clubs also at Sazava Fest, Creamfields and several times in Roxy Club.

DJ Face currently enjoys first of all nu disco, deep house, dubby house and minimal house and an ideal performance is to him
