Everything started when the artists intentionally traveled in a fantasy space, disconnecting their brain and leaving planet earth with the aim of bringing back to the globe a seductively original and vibrant track. This creation has a high level of energy that blends with psychedelic alien sounds. On board the SpaceShip, a funny group of “Space Jumping Morons” was driving the energy of the track even further. Roee Helfand, aka Plank, is a 25-year-old concept DJ and producer from Bikini Bottom, Israel, specializing in Psychedelic Trance and alternative Psychedelic music. While his original tracks are still in development, his unique style is already making waves. Curious about what he’s working on? ZiTi (Itai Friedlander) and Wachuma (Idan Rapaport) are more than just a DJ duo – they’re childhood friends who have been inseparable since the age of 12. Collecting and living trance music since 2017, they specialize in the realms of dark and hitech, with Idan diving deep into the darker realms and Itai bringing the sharp, high-speed energy of hitech.
 Together, they are the minds behind Bonsai – their underground production running for nearly 4 years, dedicated to uniting friends, creating a home-like vibe, and delivering top-notch music experiences.

This set was recorded exclusively for Shaman Booking at Momo – a spontaneous underground nature gathering that took place on Friday the 13th.

Clocking in at a powerful 156 to 172 BPM, this set takes listeners on a seamless journey through raw dark with sharp, high-speed touches of hitech. It’s intense, atmospheric, and unapologetic – the perfect soundtrack for anyone who knows what it means to lose themselves to the music.

“ECT can have a beneficial effect and in some cases be life-saving. We are aware that some people experience short-term memory loss and other side effects, but as with any treatment the risks must be balanced against the benefits…

Electro-Convulsive Therapy (ECT), also known as electroshock, is a well-established, albeit controversial, psychiatric treatment in which seizures are electrically induced in anesthetized patients for therapeutic effect…

…or alternatively, it is the nom de plume of UK-based producer Leigh Griffiths, a survivor of the 90s London psychedelic party scene.

His early tunes, released on Phantasm and Psychic Deli Records in 1997-98, are now widely considered to be all-time classics of the genre, and indeed have sometimes been cited as an influence by the later generation of trance producers.

Subsequent releases – including the cult favourite ‘Pigmies’ collaborations with Mass (Afro-Celt Soundsystem) – also broke new ground… the whole point of the ECT project being to test all accepted boundaries of psychedelic dance music – rhythmically, sonically, whatever.

(… and to have a bit of a laugh along the way…)

Over the last eighteen years, Leigh has performed live and DJed his satirically warped brand of dirty psychedelia to discerning party crowds all over the world, and – despite being possibly the laziest producer in trance – occasionally manages to drag himself out of the pub for long enough to write fresh tunes.

In his autobiographical book ‘Electroboy’, American writer Andy Behrman describes undergoing ECT as a treatment for bipolar disorder while under house-arrest:

“I wake up thirty minutes later and think I am in a hotel in Acapulco.
My head feels as if I have just downed a frozen margarita too quickly.
My jaws and limbs ache.
But I am elated.”
