Invoking the spirits of Carabali, and reviving a divine dance of the Ireme,
“Abakwa” (Future Roots Mix) is the latest consociation between producers Shaman's Dream, Liquid Bloom & Poranguí.

A multi-hued expedition back in time, the kaleidoscopic track explores ancient traditional rhythms and medicinal chants, revolutionized by modern production technologies into an entirely new work of salubrious sound art. Travel to secret spiritual societies in Cuba, toast a Guaguanco -the Matanzas-style rumba - across the high seas and arrive in Nigeria, to dance the Sobuninkum in celebratory masquerades on the banks of the Cross River.

The relationship between these inspired collaborators stretches long miles and many moons. Liquid Bloom’s contributions arrive by way of the ever-prolific Amani Friend (Desert Dwellers), who has worked with Shaman’s Dream in various artistic and community capacities for nearly two decades. São Paulo, Brazil’s Poranguí, beloved in ecstatic dance
and medicinal music circles around the world, naturally flowed into the bosom of this musical partnership.

Born from an organic instrumental project Sahuna Love (Shaman’s Dream) first recorded years ago, “Abakwa” (Future Roots Mix) finds this production trifecta breathing new life into potent, primordial sounds. The track traverses sonic geographies; from a steady driving slow-house pulse peppered with buoyant percussion, to a throbbing, 6/8 psychedelic bass
pattern that navigates familiar topography. The entirety of the journey is punctuated by divine chants and reverent vocals.

When I first heard this track in the middle of the first lockdown, i instantly heard the support sounds that I could offer this prayer.

Culturally isolated in my home town, I took to the internet connecting with my favorite artists around the globe.

Contacting Ape, he was happy to provide the stems from the original recording.

And so the Amoriri - Tribal Bass Mix was completed through remote collaboration from Sth America to Australia.

The winter solstice marks a very special and spiritually important time of the year. Nature itself is asking us all to become more silent... to slow down... to rest. Animals go into hibernation and we as humans enjoy the sheltered comfort of our homes with a hot tea and a warm blanket.Winter is a time of darkness. The winter solstice marks the time where the days get shorter and the nights become longer. So there will be less light outside which in turn invites us to seek and find more light within. This time allows us to go deep within and to reflect upon the past and also connect with dreams and visions for the year to come. It's a great time for meditation and prayer to let go and relax. 

Tranquillitas was the goddess and personification of tranquility, security and peace. 
and can be translated into „calmness“ , peacefullness and a state of security and ease. 

To support you in this process of introspection and meditation we have invited old and new friends to share their unique approach on this idea. Weather you just want to sit and listen, meditate, do your yoga practice, need a soundtrack for your ceremony or are looking for some intimate and deep moments in your ectstatic dance sets this compilation will be at your service. This song is very deeply connected to my soul, in the late hours in the studio I set my ego aside and let myself become vulnerable to the microphone, singing and playing straight from the heart. I hope you feel the resonance of my spirit within you while listening to this song.

Shaman's Dream is a musical prayer for healing, transformation, love, and happiness for all beings.

Sahuna Love (Founder of Shaman's Dream) is a Multi-percussionist, DJ, Music Producer, Medicine Ceremony Facilitator, and Healing Arts Practitioner. Sahuna is inspired by the spiritual musical lineages from around the globe and the healing power of the drum. Every Shaman's Dream offering is a ceremony and opportunity for all who receive the music to create an intention and prayer for their own lives, utilizing the music as medicine.

Shaman’s Dream, Sahuna's multi-faceted music collective, has been at the forefront of the yoga, festival and ecstatic dance music scene, since 1995. As a producer and the musical director he's facilitated hundreds of ecstatic dance/ “live” world music concerts, plus countless live music for yoga classes and ritual retreats. Sahuna's other projects included being the co-founder of Yogitunes - www.yogitunes.com - an online digital music store that features a huge selection of yoga inspired music, Co-Producer of Ecstatic Dance Retreats, and co-producer of Desert Dwellers projects –Waves, Flames, Roots, and many other Downtempo music projects. 

As a percussionist, Sahuna has performed with countless music producers and performers such as: Porangui,  Bluetech, Desert Dwellers, Kaminanda, David Starfire, Yaima, FreQ Nasty, Jason Hann (EOTO& String Cheese), Isaac Chambers, Jai Uttal, Krishna Das, Dave Stringer, C.C. White, Donna De Lory, Tina Malia, Chris Berry and many others. 

Presently, Craig is performing and helping to produce/ stage manage for many of the transformational festivals and yoga/ ecstatic dance communities all over the world. Some events include– Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis, Beloved, Wanderlust, Envision, Imagine, Bhaktifest, Shaktifest, Joshua Tree Music Festival, Yoga Journal Conference, Etc...
