It's distortion effect buzzing (the African way...it's on the Harps, Marimbas, Mbiras, made with shells, metals, membranes and pastes..) is from the bottle caps above the tuning pegs..

Created this around 2001, with multiple takes through microphone on a 16 track recorder (before I had a PC).

Voices also Zimbini and Lauren. Live sounds of water blown in a bucket via a pipe, panpipes, darabouka drum, etc...those were the days, before we had cell phones in Africa :)
