Masha, aka DJ Shamashka is one of the organizers behind Open {air} Anahata festival and has been DJing there since 2007. In the recent years she also played at Ontario local festivals and ecstatic dance events. Her sets are infused with the sounds of native instruments and nature and are intended as a prayer for the heart to open, for healing and awakening. She seeks to invoke deep immersive experiences of connecting to the body and heart and allowing the movement to arise from within, for the heart to expand, stepping into the space where healing flows.
Masha is an art therapist, a certified yoga  instructor, facilitator of sacred ceremonies and retreats and a passionate mindfulness propagator. She is currently undergoing registration as a registered psychotherapist. Masha also has studied music as medicine in Canada and in Peru and has been facilitating sound circles and soundbaths since 2009, creating soundscapes for journeying and healing.
