This is Shamiro's newest single, #KalmaETormenta, from his upcoming album. This song is about hope! Many of us sometimes feel like we are in the middle of a storm and sometimes it seems like the hurricane season lasts longer than we can withstand. The message of this song is to remind you that God is faithful and loving; He knows and understands your situation. Above all, He is All-Powerful; He can and is willing to calm every storm in your life. I have experienced this first hand in my own life. When my sister passed away in 2011 and most recently when my grandmother passed away as well. It seemed like the storm just didn't want to stop, however, God saw us through that storm and brought us to calm waters. I want to encourage you to never lose faith or hope. No matter how dark the night becomes or how rough the tides may be...the bad times will not last forever. God promised that He will CALM THE STORM! Trust in Him.

Why do you worship God? Have you ever stopped to think about that? God says that He is looking for worshippers in Spirit and in Truth. However, another question is: when do you worship God? Only at church on Sunday? He have the tendency to think that worship is Christian music of adoration that we hear every Sunday at Church, but that is not what worship is. Our whole life can be a living worship to God. And it should be also. It is easy to worship God when things are going good, but what happens when things start to go sour? Would you still worship God? God is worthy to be praised, no matter the current situation of your life. Worship God if you are crying, if you are suffering and if you are in pain. Worship shouldn't be reserved only for good times, but every time, because we worship God for who He is and not dependent on our situation or feelings. And remember worship isn't only about music!

God says that after all has fade away, one thing will always remain: Love. Jesus gave the apostles a new command: to love one another as He has loved them. Jesus even went so far as to say that you have to love your enemies. But ever wonder what is 'Love'? How would you describe 'Love'. God has given a description of 'Love': "If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." That is LOVE. Now another question: how do you show 'Love'? God says that you have to demonstrate love with action! Saying that you love somebody isn't enough, love takes the words into action!

Many times when we find ourselves in difficult situations we find ourselves asking: how much longer? Some of you may have been fighting an addiction, a chronic sickness, a struggling marriage, a rebellious child, difficult parents, injustice, loneliness etc for months, perhaps even years now. One of my favorite verses in the bible is in 1 Peter 5, where it says: Throw all of your worries unto me. Do not give in. Know that your brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same thing. But after you have suffered for a short time, God Himself will restore you, fortify you and raise you back up. My friend, there are three promises in that verse: 1). You are not alone! No matter if you think your situation is unique, there are other brothers and sisters that are going through the same thing as you, asking the same questions, and have been struggling for the same amount of time or more. You are not uniquely cursed or something. 2). The time of this test, of this problem is temporary! God promised that the pain will pass, the trouble will be resolved, the storm will blow over! You can hang on to that hope forever! 3). After the time has passed, God will come to you to restore your strength, lift you back up and help you to finish the race. Even though you think this problem that you are facing feels like its taking a lifetime, God already has a set time for your deliverance, for your breakthrough! You may say that you have a chronic or terminal sickness or disorder. My friend, death is not the end. You can face death with joy, if you are sure of where you are going afterwards. God has promised that if you put your trust in Jesus, that an unbelievable place is awaiting you. A place where there is no longer any sorrow, pain, sin, addictions, poverty, loss, sickness or sadness anymore! The problem is temporary!

He is the very essence of joy, happiness and entertainment. Why? Because every other form of happiness and joy are temporary. Only God can provide you with everlasting joy! Think about when you go to see a movie. After you finish seeing it you feel satisfied (if it was a good movie), but after awhile that feeling of satisfaction slowly goes away and you need to watch another movie to satisfy you. End result? You are never satisfied. Only God can satisfy us for eternity. That is why Jesus told the samiritan woman that who ever drinks from the water of the well that she was gathering water will get thirsty again, but whomsoever drinks from the water that He gives, he will never thurst again. In God there is true, everlasting joy, happiness and party! In Heaven there is going to be a great party, are you invited? If you know Christ as your Saviour then you are and you are welcome. It is going to be best party the world has ever seen.

One of the things I love most about hotels is the warm water. Since water prices are a bit expensive in our country, warm water would raise the cost and since we are on an island, it is quite warm, thus not really necessary either. But sometimes, in the breezy mornings and cold nights, it could come in handy. When I was a boy, I used to love it when it rained. I would go outside and play all day in the rain, even though my parents warned me to stop after awhile, because I could get sick. And eventually, I did get sick, but that didn't stop from going again and again. God's love is like rain. You are happy and feel amazing when it is pouring down on you, it smoothens and cleanses. It washes away every bad memory, every sin and leaves you feeling refreshed. Just like a warm water bath. I pray that God's loves pours down on you today!

During the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Dereck Redman, was preparing for his race. He had trained to get this far and he had done this a thousand times before. He was ready. They took their mark, got set and as soon as the shot was fired, they were off. He was running as fast as he could, but in the middle of the run, he felt a staggering pain. His hamstring on his right leg had ripped. In anguish he fell down and the pain overtook him. Doctors rushed to him, but he was determined to finish his race, even though they advised him against it. He was barely making it when suddenly a man broke through security and came to help him. It was his father. His father told him: if you are so determined to finish this race, then we will finish it together. My friend, God will do the same for us. In the race of life, we often get hurt, we stumble, we fall down. But in those times you have to know that God will come through for you and He will raise you back to your feet and help you to finish the race. Hang on to Him; He will not let you down!

Most of the time we like to ask God for many things and most of us, upon receiving that request are grateful. However, the great majority of us fail to remain grateful. Familiarity breathes contempt. It is as important to remain grateful as being grateful. If nothing comes to mind, just take a moment and think: When was the last time you thank God for the clothes that you have, the computer and internet that you have, the car, job, family, education, money, house, health etc. The list goes on and on. Do you know that there are millions of people right now all over the world that don't even have 1% of what you have? Are you being grateful for what you have or are you being selfish? I for one am eternally grateful to God. He saved my life and gave me purpose. That's why i wrote this song: 'Masha Danki' (Many thanks).

Shamiro is a Christian Singer/Songwriter from the beautiful island of Curacao located in the Caribbean. His singing career started in 2007 when he sang at his mom's birthday party for the first time in front of a crowd. After hearing his rich vocals, many people encouraged him to consider a career in music. In 2008 Shamiro experienced God's unconditional love and grace when he accepted Jesus into his heart as his Lord and Saviour. His life was never the same after that moment. After he participated in a local singing competition, Curastars, and coming out as the third finalist, Shamiro started to write his own songs. His first song was "Move Tur Montaña" which became a hit in the Dutch Caribbean in weeks after the release. In 2011 Shamiro has two sold-out concerts and was awarded as the best Christian concert in Curacao of 2011. However, the year ended sadly when Shamiro and his family lost his big sister, Saina Anita, in a car accident. Although Shamiro was in great pain and doubt of God, he persevered and the song "Un Brasa So Mi Ke", which was finished one day before the accident, helped him, his family and tens of thousands of people all of the world to find the strength to go on in God's power.
