I was absolutely honored to be a part of the electrifying ambiance of Voodoo, Sublime's iconic club night! The vibrant spirit of young Sydney ravers, passionately grooving to the relentless beats of 140bpm and beyond, ushered in the thrilling dawn of the trance era. It's a source of immense joy that we were fortunate enough to immerse ourselves in the rich musical tapestry of the late 90's.  Recalling the enigmatic backroom, shrouded in darkness and flashing lights, where the dynamic duo Jumping Jack and Nick Fish unleashed the relentless power of hard house, sends shivers down my spine. The allure of mischief was an ever-present companion in the outside courtyard next door, where memories were created in a haze of nostalgia.  Those indeed were the days! Now, living in Melbourne looking back 25 years, it warms my heart to witness the enduring discussions surrounding the legendary club we affectionately referred to as 'Subbies' during our youthful friday night stomps.

DJ Bexta Mixology Show - Classics Set!

This is a special mix that I did for the Sydney Rave History crew and their party Golden in June 2014 that unfortunately I can't play at due to other commitments, but this is the next best thing. Packed with classic trance gems plus a few lesser known corkers to keep it fresh, its the first in a series I hope to do featuring tunes from the pioneering trance era from 92 - 95.
