It was in 2009 when George Kelly AKA DJ Butcher released on vinyl 'Chopshop Music Volume 1' and set for a journey that this year reaches the milestone of 10 years. To celebrate, Chopshop gathered some of the finest artists to release a totally free compilation through soundcloud as a token of appreciation to all the fans and supporters of the label. Downloads can be found individually on each artist soundcloud page and later in full through a link via the Chopshop page. About the CD:
001 of the Classic Mix CD collection. This mix immediately sprung to mind and an major contender for all time favourite mix CD. (It's seems like a few of you guys think the same). A hands in the air, feel good garage (and house) banger with many many memories attached. I think I bought this in 1997, two years after leaving school, going to college, working at McDonalds's and clubbing up and down the country once a month alongside weekly/daily night outs in Sunderland.
