In this installment of Sound Advice, we speak to LA-based DJ/producer Ray Volpe. Known for his heavy bass-driven sound, Ray experienced breakout success with his 2022 track, “LASERBEAM,” which became a scene anthem and has since been remixed by Hardwell and Chris Lake. Now, Ray has released his long-awaited debut album, ‘FOREVER, VOLPETRON,’ where he showcases his heavy dubstep and gritty, melodic bass sound, paired with his signature cinematic flair and energetic, catchy hooks. In this exclusive interview, we talk about the making of the album, his journey as a DJ and producer, and how he uses SoundCloud to connect with fans and discover hidden gems.
