A collection of awesome people and awesome art cars gather in the desert near Los Angeles to do what art cars do, which is to say drive around dry lake beds and play loud music.
This is one of my favourite things to do, especially with my friends who I miss so very much.
So here I go then teleporting in for a set at sunrise on the one and only Vibeapple.
One of my favourite things about playing music on the vibeapple, apart from the excellent sound system and pretty lights is having people all around me in a 360 degree sound bath... it's so much fun and I wish i could be there in person.
For maximum happiness imagine being in a desert just before the sunrise and let us teleport there together.

The tide rose up over the outer reef, the trade winds kicked in and we all settled in to await the setting sun as Cloud 9 gently rocked in the Breeze. Another lovely set on this incredible venue and I felt blessed to be alive!

It only took 6 months, but I'm finally uploading my sunrise set at the NUTZ Camp from Burning Man 2014.  As with 2013, it's a mix of all sorts of music, from House and Progressive to Classics.  This year, I was joined by my good friend John Early (starting around the 2 hour mark) for a tag team set and it was a lot of fun taking it back with some nice classic House tracks.  It's an unedited 4:41 minutes, hope you enjoy!  Sorry, no track listing on this one, things got a little messy that morning... ;)  

Special thanks to all of my friends at the NUTZ Camp for having me on the decks again this year.  This is one of my favorite gigs of the week out on the playa!

It only took 4 months, but I have finally found the time to master and release my DISTRIKT Closing Party set from 2015.  It was another amazing year out on the playa, with some incredible highs and one very sad low.  It is interesting how every year eventful things seem to happen when you are out there in the desert, both good and bad.  And the fact that it is aways such a different experience every year, is really the beauty of it.  And for me, being away from day to day realities of work and stress helps me remember the importance of the relationships, community, art and music in my life.  That is why this closing set at DISTRIKT, 8 years in a row now, is the highlight of my year.  Looking out over a sea of smiling faces, not caring about anything but the music and the dance floor and that very moment in time.  I hope that this set takes you back to that place. If you ask anyone on the playa about DISTRIKT, they immediately smile and say, best day party on the playa! I am proud to be with a kamp of snarky folks who work hard to deliver a full bar 6 days a week and with a music line up that is always on point. I was on the build knew this year and now know a bit more of what it takes to get everything dialed in. A lot of blood, sweat, and middle fingers get this all done. There isn’t room for sensitive Sally’s and that’s why I fit in. I am most grateful for my involvement with DISTRIKT and this year I got to play on my Burnthday, Saturday, September 1st with so many of my awesome friends there with me. The crowd was gathering for my good friend, colleague, and badass DJ Ben Annand and I was ecstatic to follow his flow. I am very happy with this mix and I invite you to enjoy the journey of sounds and moods.

Let's Get Deep vol. 1

Shane was born in Australia but his music is born on the Island of Ibiza, a place very close to his heart and ingrained in his soul.
It was at his first ever job working in a cafe in on the Beach that he discovered the music that would lead him on an almost twenty year journey to the other side of the world and back again.
“ Each morning I would put out the tables listening to a disc that my boss had in the stereo. It was a new release from some strange place called Ibiza. Everyday I played it louder and louder in the mornings.
I was hooked from the start right there in that little cafe by the beach.”
That chance encounter with Ibiza continues to this day to drive Shane and his music is still inspired by his expeditions to the Island.
He has traveled and played in many countries and has been greatly influenced as a DJ by the variety of places and people.
None more than the Island of Ibiza.
For the last decade or so Shane has been making an almost annual pilgrimage to Ibiza and has played at Café Del Mar, Blue Marlin, Mambo, Space, Ushuaia & Kumharas amongst others. Closer to his heart is the hippy scene and the more underground side of Ibiza, the closest of which is the Sunset Ashram, his favourite place to lay down many a long set over the years. The Ashram at Cala Conta is arguably the most spectacular sunset venue on the planet.
“The tribal, spiritual and music loving culture of Ibiza moves me and I feel that’s the purest place to play music... The vibe of the music and the people that it attracts...those are my people.
We all get lost in the music for months.”
In more recent years Shane has been making the journey to play at Burning Man. The Burner culture and the sound of the Playa has captured his heart and sound and it is here you could say that now defines his music. Where as a DJ he has returned Home.
He is a founding member of Sunset Island a sound camp at Australia’s Burning Seed famous for their massive sunset parties.
Producer and radio broadcaster and half of the Electronic Duo Electric Zeus. Electric Zeus have released singles and remixes worldwide since 2011.
At home he can be found regularly playing at major festivals like Sub Sonic, Return To Rio, Electric Gardens and Burning Seed.
Most recently he was chosen as the 'plus 1' for Solomun when he came to Australia and they played for a 5000 capacity crowd.

Shane sets can flow effortlessly between Deep House and Progressive always Dramatic and always uplifting.

As a producer he has worked with longtime friend Steve Peacock to create and release music under the name Electric Zeus
