As I went over to say goodbye I saw that the expression of bewilderment had come back into his face, as though a faint doubt had occurred to him as to the quality of his present happiness. Almost five years! There must have been moments even that afternoon when Daisy tumbled short of his dreams—not through her own fault but because of the colossal vitality of his illusion. It had gone beyond her, beyond everything. He had thrown himself into it with a creative passion, adding to it all the time, decking it out with every bright feather that drifted his way. No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart. As I watched him he adjusted himself a little, visibly. His hand took hold of hers and as she said something low in his ear he turned toward her with a rush of emotion. I think that voice held him most with its fluctuating, feverish warmth because it couldn’t be over-dreamed—that voice was a deathless song. Volzigt is turning things downside up on his own unique way. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can guide you to a different world. And so we started out into the night, down towards the waterfront where there was the sound of music and shouts and drunken oaths, he was talking quietly all the while about this and that, about a girl he had fallen in love with. From that he switched back to the Baron de Charlus and then to Kurtz who had gone up the river and got lost. His favorite theme. I liked the way he moved against this background of literature continuously; it was like a millionaire who never stepped out of his Rolls Royce. There was no intermediate realm for him between reality and ideas. When we entered the whorehouse on the Quai Voltaire, after he had flung himself on the divan and rung for girls and for drinks, he was still paddling up the river with Kurtz, and only when the girls had flopped on the bed beside him and stuffed his mouth with kisses did he cease his divagations. Ka:lu escaped from the empty land with his Arp and took the nowhere’s road. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These tracks can teach you how to give beauty to the people. Kaöb, DIBIDABO, AmuAmu, Chomba and Zuma Dionys are giving love and beauty and warm feelings in their own unique way.

The Huli are believed to have laid down roots in Papua New Guinea as far back as 45,000 years ago. Most of the Huli people are from the town of Tari, and many still live according to the traditional ways. “The Huli men are famous for their unique custom of creating and wearing impressive wigs decorated with feathers. They also wear bright facial paint in red, yellow and white — colors originally chosen to strike fear into their enemy in times of conflict. Nowadays, they usually wear them to sing and dance.”. The so-called Wigmen make their wigs out of their own hair and weave them with feathers from the island’s 700 bird species. Each feather carries its own symbolic meaning (such as strength and courage). “The forest in which we live is essential to us. It provides for all our needs, it is sacred, and I would do anything in my power to protect it,” writes Mundiya Kepanga, a 53-year-old Huli Wigman, “I hope that by helping people to better understand my culture, they will also respect our environment.”                                                                                                                    This is the new Shango Records compilation entitled “A Wigmen Town Called Tari”. The Temple of Pillagi was a Late Archaic temple on the underwater mythical city of Atlantis. The myth says that the temple was built around 530 BC and was one of the earliest Ionic temples. It was built completely from Naxian marble. Based on some undefined information, the sanctuary was probably dedicated to Demeter or perhaps Kore. For this reason and because of its unusual shape, the temple is often referred to as a telesterion. There are also indications of a cult to Apollo on the site. If still in use by the 4th century AD, the temple would have been closed during the persecution of pagans under the Christian emperors. In the 6th century AD, the temple was largely demolished and a three-naved Christian basilica was built from the same stone on the same site.

“It’s a secret door to the Inner City!” Minli gasped, and she was able to reach it just before it closed completely. With both hands she pressed hard against it and the door pushed open. And like a lid of a jewelry box, the door opened into a landscape of radiant colors. The bamboo, pine, and plum leaves seemed to shine in the sun as if carved from emeralds and the accents of the pink and red flowers were like nestled rubies. Steps away from her feet, Minli could see a patterned pathway made of water-worn pebbles. The central jade green lake mirrored the arching tiled roofs of the pavilions and the rough beauty of large weathered rock sculptures. A winding covered walkway lifted up from the cloudy water like a lotus flower. It could only be the Palace Garden. Shan Nash is showing you the flight of a bird. This is his first offering for Shango Records. This track can lead you to the Palace Garden. Jack Essek and Majnoon are taking care of the blue, open wide skies.

There was one thing to be done before I left, an awkward, unpleasant thing that perhaps had better have been let alone. But I wanted to leave things in order and not just trust that obliging and indifferent sea to sweep my refuse away. I saw Jordan Baker and talked over and around what had happened to us together and what had happened afterward to me, and she lay perfectly still listening in a big chair. She was dressed to play golf and I remember thinking she looked like a good illustration, her chin raised a little, jauntily, her hair the color of an autumn leaf, her face the same brown tint as the fingerless glove on her knee. When I had finished she told me without comment that she was engaged to another man. I doubted that though there were several she could have married at a nod of her head but I pretended to be surprised. For just a minute I wondered if I wasn’t making a mistake, then I thought it all over again quickly and got up to say goodbye. Filmus takes a deep breath and dive into the waters of freedom. The Tiger’s Nest refers to Ngalop, a tribe from Bhutan. They used to dance masked in their ceremonies. Symbolizing different deities, demons and animals the masks are used when the Ngalop act out spiritual stories from their collective past. Religious gathering for them is the Tschechu festival which take place in the temple of Paro Takstang or The Tiger’s Nest, located more than 10.000 feet above sea level, it is one of the most sacred sites in Bhutan. A legend holds that a former wife of an Emperor, willingly became a disciple of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambahva) in Tibet. She transformed herself into a tigress and carried the Guru on her back from Tibet to the present location of the Taktsang in Bhutan. In one of the caves here, the Guru then performed meditation and emerged in eight incarnated forms (manifestations) and the place became holy. Subsequently, the place came to be known as the “Tiger's Nest”

The lift emerged on the surface and he jumped off. A guard spotted him and gave chase. Crouching, He dodged into a tangled mass of twisted metal, still white-hot and smoking. He ran for a distance, leaping from the side of a ruined defense-screen tower, onto the fused ground and down the side of a hill. The ground was hot underfoot. He hurried as fast as he could, gasping for breath. He came to a long slope and scrambled up the side. The guard who had followed was gone, lost behind in the rolling clouds of ash that drifted from the ruins of Sherikov’s underground fortress. He reached the top of the hill. For a brief moment he halted to get his breath and figure where he was. It was almost evening. The sun was beginning to set. In the darkening sky a few dots still twisted and rolled, black specks that abruptly burst into flame and fused out again. He stood up cautiously, peering around him. Ruins stretched out below, on all sides. Miles of tangled rubbish and half-vaporized equipment. He considered. Everyone was busy putting out the fires and pulling the wounded to safety. It would be awhile before he was missed. But as soon as they realized he was gone they’d be after him. Beyond the ruins lay the great Ural peaks, the endless mountains, stretching out as far as the eye could see. Mountains and green forests. A wilderness. They’d never find him there. Firewrks is giving the vibe for the city of dreams. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can reflect the deepness of our reality. Fred Fisher Atalobhor is  a Nigerian trombonist, vocalist, composer, songwriter born in 1951 in Bendel, Nigeria. After his collaboration with many band Fred went on to work with T Mac Band in 1978, then joined Sonny Okosun's band, with the Ozida Band and with several bands in Nigeria. "Asa Sa" is a killer Afro-Beat/Disco track originally released on his solo album "Say The Truth" back in 1979 for Afrodisia Records and then appeared in some compilations with the participation of Ogiza Dance Band. Landegaard pays his respect to Fred Fisher and transforms the original into an uplifting and energetic World dancefloor destroyer!

Underneath the moon shadows of the trees, Ma stumbled with weariness. Ba did not know how long they had been walking. With every step he peered at the ground, the light flickering as the lantern swayed in his hand. The forest was full of shapes and shadows and only barely could he see the faint footprints on the ground — it was like searching for a wrinkle in a flower petal. As Ma tripped, he steadied her with his arm. “We should rest,” Ba said. Ma shook her head and pulled away angrily. “We must keep going. We have to find it” “But you are tired,” Ba said, “and I am too. We can rest and afterward we will be able to continue faster.” “I am not tired,” Ma said fiercely. Her irritation seemed to give her energy. “If you are tired, you can rest. But I will continue to look for El Aumento”. Veytik is in constant rise of giving magic to the people. Deep in the natural paradise of Hwange, between Bulawayo and “The Smoke That Thunders”, close to the mysterious Dete town, there are some destinations that sound almost mythical, like Kalahari. Inland lies the land of empty: the Namib Desert. Never in your wildest dreams will you have imagined how incredibly stunning and beautiful emptiness can be. Endless plains are crossed by imposing mountain ranges, bordering this area you find the highest sand dunes in the world, you can meet the wildlife. Magical fairy circles, mountain ranges and the famous dunes of Sossusvlei which glow in a deep red color in the light of the rising sun and color an almost eery pink in the light of a full moon. Hoani Teano fell asleep in Amsterdam and wake up days later under an endless number of stars in the Namib Desert. This is his first offering for Shango Records. Her first solo album "11 De Novembre" was released back in 2012 and nominated album of the year in Spain and France. A tsunami is a series of waves in a water body caused by the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a large lake. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other underwater explosions (including detonations, landslides, glacier calvings, meteorite impacts and other disturbances) above or below water all have the potential to generate a tsunami. Unlike normal ocean waves, which are generated by wind, or tides, which are in turn generated by the gravitational pull of the Moon and the Sun, a tsunami is generated by the displacement of water from a large event. Tsunami waves do not resemble normal undersea currents or sea waves because their wavelength is far longer.  Rather than appearing as a breaking wave, a tsunami may instead initially resemble a rapidly rising tide. For this reason, it is often referred to as a tidal wave. The Ancient Greek historian Thucydides suggested in his 5th century BC History of the Peloponnesian War that tsunamis were related to submarine earthquakes, but the understanding of tsunamis remained slim until the 20th century, and much remains unknown. Nikos Xidakis is one of the best Greek composers with many superb albums and soundtracks under his belt since 1978 while Eleftheria Arvanitaki is one of the best Greek singers with an ethereal/fairy voice and many releases through the years. Back in 1985 Xidakis wrote the rather amazing soundtrack for the cult film "Mania" (directed by Yiorgos Panousopoulos) amd Eleftheria Arvanitaki sung two super beautiful tracks with amazing Folk roots. Deep down in the distant jungle of Mexico, in Chichen Itza, the most powerful city in the land, the great go of the empire appeared, the divine Kukulkan (also known as Feathered Snake) acting as overlord to all Mayan Kings. She sat there as usual, but time had changed her. She had grown thin, and her face seemed longer, if only because her cheeks were hollow. The locks of hair that escaped from her scarf were turning gray and made her seem older than she was. The beauty spot on her cheek had grown slightly larger. In addition to their customary look of submission, her eyes now revealed a mournful absent-mindedness. Her anguish over the changes that had befallen her was considerable, although at first she had welcomed them as an expression of her grief. Then she had begun to wonder anxiously if she might not need her health to get through the remainder of her life. Yes. . .and the others needed her to be healthy too, but how could everything be put back the way it was before? And she was older, if not old enough to warrant such a transformation. Still, her age had to make a difference.Night after night she had stood on the balcony observing the street through the wooden grille. What she could see of the street had not altered, but change had crept through her. The voice of the waiter at the coffeehouse echoed through their silent room. She smiled and stole a glance at al-Sayyid Ahmad. The new Shango Records single comes by AHMET ATAKAN and is an amazing story about Philosophy and the meaning of life. ANATOLIAN SESSIONS and MERT ESER, as great companion, serve their magic touch to the remixes and you cannot do nothing more than let yourself embrace the gorgeous beauty of this music!

One day the men of the country were unfortunate enough to offend Father Anansi, who immediately resolved to punish them. After much thought he decided that the severest penalty he could inflict would be to hide all his wisdom from them. He set to work at once to gather again all that he had already given. When he had succeeded, as he thought, in collecting it, he placed all in one great pot. This he carefully sealed, and determined to put it in a spot where no human being could reach it. Many-many years later MAUGLI identified the hidden pot and came into light with the wisdom of creating unforgettable and emotional dreams in a shape of-what is called today-music. He can be found in the shadows of Berlin. This is his first offering for Shango Records and comes with a remix by M.RUX. These two tracks whisper loudly but scream quietly.

One day, King Khosrow and his entourage went to hunt deer on the plains far in the central regions of Persia. The king was astonished when his entourage came upon an old man in his nineties, barely standing up, who was planting fig trees. “Don’t you know it takes thirty years for fig trees to grow?” asked the king, “It is time for you to give thanks for your blessing of a long life and get ready for the other world.” The old man replied, “Our fathers planted fig trees and we ate figs from them. I am planting trees for those who will come after me and, by my good deed; I am getting ready for the other world.”
