And so we started out into the night, down towards the waterfront where there was the sound of music and shouts and drunken oaths, he was talking quietly all the while about this and that, about a girl he had fallen in love with. From that he switched back to the Baron de Charlus and then to Kurtz who had gone up the river and got lost. His favorite theme. I liked the way he moved against this background of literature continuously; it was like a millionaire who never stepped out of his Rolls Royce. There was no intermediate realm for him between reality and ideas. When we entered the whorehouse on the Quai Voltaire, after he had flung himself on the divan and rung for girls and for drinks, he was still paddling up the river with Kurtz, and only when the girls had flopped on the bed beside him and stuffed his mouth with kisses did he cease his divagations. Ka:lu escaped from the empty land with his Arp and took the nowhere’s road. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These tracks can teach you how to give beauty to the people. Kaöb, DIBIDABO, AmuAmu, Chomba and Zuma Dionys are giving love and beauty and warm feelings in their own unique way.

The Temple of Pillagi was a Late Archaic temple on the underwater mythical city of Atlantis. The myth says that the temple was built around 530 BC and was one of the earliest Ionic temples. It was built completely from Naxian marble. Based on some undefined information, the sanctuary was probably dedicated to Demeter or perhaps Kore. For this reason and because of its unusual shape, the temple is often referred to as a telesterion. There are also indications of a cult to Apollo on the site. If still in use by the 4th century AD, the temple would have been closed during the persecution of pagans under the Christian emperors. In the 6th century AD, the temple was largely demolished and a three-naved Christian basilica was built from the same stone on the same site.

The night was beautiful. The Moon was as soft as lace. The stars in the wide open skies were so bright like millions of fireflies. I was feeling warm, reading poetry and drinking a cup of hot tea. Love is everywhere and so is the absence of it. He turned his head on the right and he saw her sleeping. Her hair the color of an autumn leaf, her face the same brown tint as the fingerless glove on her knee. Two hours before she told me without comment that she was engaged to another man. I doubted that though there were several she could have married at a nod of her head but I pretended to be surprised. DJ Phellix & Amir Sheykh enjoying their time under the silver Moon in the Garden of Eden. This is their first offering for Shango Records. Minli sighed. She hadn’t realized until then that she had been holding her breath. She knew, even before the man smiled, that Dragon was going to be okay. “Da-A-Fu,” the old man said, and Minli realized that he was calling both his grandchildren with a single name. “Go home and tell the family what has happened and where I am or they will worry. I need to stay with the dragon. Tell Amah and all the women to make more medicine and when it is ready, bring it to me. This dragon will need to drink it when he awakens.” “Thank you,” Minli said softly.

The man turned and looked at her wind-burned face, tangled hair, and eyes shadowed with weariness. “He is going to be fine,” the grandfather said to her kindly, and then turned back to the children, “Da-A-Fu — bring this girl home and tell Amah to take care of her. She has not slept in a warm bed for a long time.” “I want to stay with Dragon,” Minli protested. “I want to help him.” “I will stay with him,” the old man said to her. “Don’t worry, he will be fine. You have already helped him.” Minli opened her mouth to argue, but a yawn formed instead. She realized the man was right and nodded her head. The boy took one of Minli’s hands and the girl took the other and they led her out of the cave. Black Bombo holds African Science in one hand and Space in the other. “Which one of you is A-Fu and which one is Da-Fu?” Minli asked the twins. “My name’s Min-li.” The children laughed; their giggles were like bells playing in unison. “I’m A-Fu,” the girl said, “he’s Da-Fu. But you can just call us Da-A-Fu, because we are always together. Everyone does.” Minli smiled. The exhaustion from the long night of worry had made her feel heavy and clumsy, but the children’s happiness seemed to carry her. Their every word seemed to be mixed with merriness; their laughter pushed her toward the cheerful yellow patch in the distance.

And as they approached the spot, Minli realized that the yellow was flowers — in front of them was land full of blooming trees. The trees were heavy with bright blossoms and as the wind blew through the branches golden flowers showered down like rain. As they reached the trees and breathed in the spicy scent of the flowers, Minli gasped. “It’s beautiful,” she said. The children laughed again, and the brilliant red of their clothes and the golden yellow flowers of the trees seemed to make Minli’s eyes dazzle with color. drS left his lab and brought his science to the people. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These two tracks will heal through the power of bodywork. Lucas Lead and Pangolea are the gatekeepers in the golden gates of Port Maje.

Over a hundred years ago, when our ancestors were first brought here, the land of the village was barren and gray. Everything was dull and colorless, the wind cold and bitter. Still, our an-cestors worked hard. They built houses out of mountain stone, sewed warm, waddedcotton jackets, and planted seeds in the hard dirt. But, despite their efforts, the land refused to bear a single plant or flower. However, even though it looked hopeless, our ancestors continued to work. Then one night, when the moon was big and round, the air filled with a strange fluttering sound. Our ancestors thought that a great storm was coming and rushed inside. And a great storm was coming. With a crash, raindrops seemed to fall from the sky. Maxia hold Esperanza in one hand and Whispers in the other. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These two tracks have built the end into the beginning. Hoani Teano and Robin Hoshi are taking their tea in the Esperanza gates of Heaven!

Maxia-Esperanza

Goblin are an Italian progressive rock band most famous for their soundtracks for Dario Argento movies. Having started out as Oliver (making a few demo tapes) they recorded one album as Cherry Five. During the completion of this album, Dario Argento helped bring over the members to score his film Profondo Rosso (1975). The band was successful during the late 1970s to early 1980s. "Profondo Rosso" soundtrack was released in 1975 by Cinevox Records and it was a truly masterpiece, a classic piece of Cinematica beauty from past till present. Chalanga pays their tribute to Goblin and transform the Progressive Rock/Cinematica vibes of the track to a modern Downtempo paradise!

“So these seeds rain from the sky every night?” Minli asked. “Well, every night there is a moon,” the girl said. “That is why we call it Moon Rain.” “And you don’t know why?” Minli asked. Even though she was tired, she could not help being curious. Both children shook their heads and before Minli could ask more questions the boy pointed. Minli followed his hand and saw crimson gate doors painted with a cheerful greeting. “We’re here!” he cried. “Come on, we’re home!  After the great storm, Ma and Ba worried that vast damage had been done to the village. And when the sun shone in the morning, the village looked as if it was in ruins. Large tree branches had fallen and a clutter of leaves and roof tiles and dust and dirt littered the ground. Yet, when the villagers began to clean, the storm had not harmed them as much as they had feared. Semad spreads his wings and prepares to fly. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These tracks push the color of love into the light. Dr Parnassus and Jovoj have come from the future.

“At least no homes were destroyed,” the villagers said to each other, “and we know everyone is safe.” Well, everyone except for Minli, they added silently. Ma and Ba said nothing when their neighbors paused awkwardly. They helped pick up the broken branches, swept broken bits of pottery and tiles from the street, and nailed shutters. At night, they quietly sat together at the ta-ble with the goldfish. Though Ma had heard nothing, Ba remembered the fish’s words about the fear in the wind. It filled him with worry and he waited for the fish to speak again. However, it remained oddly silent. Finally, when Ma was busy helping a neighbor, Ba tried to question the fish. “During the storm you said there was fear in the wind,” Ba said to the fish. “Whose fear was it? Was it Minli’s? Was she afraid of something?”. Idin Gorji left the moon and the sky for a country that loves. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These tracks will ac-celerate your nervous system..

The fish stared at Ba with its round eyes and made no sound. “Please tell me,” Ba said, his hands around the bowl. The fish swam noiselessly in the water. Ba was puzzled. Had the fish stopped speaking? Or was he now unable to understand? Or perhaps the fish had never spoken and it had all been his imagination? Ba placed his ear close to the water. Was that faint bubbling a whisper? He strained closer, his ear beginning to dip into the water… “What are you doing?” Ma asked as she came into the room. Ba jerked his head up, his ear dripping with           water. “Uh, nothing,” he said sheepishly. “Were you cleaning your ear in the fishbowl?” Ma said, slightly appalled. “Not exactly,” Ba said awkwardly. A cross look streaked across Ma’s face, but as she looked at Ba, rubbing his ear shamefacedly, she did something she hadn’t done in years. She laughed. Bahri Bekil is ready for a magic journey into Fifth Sun. This is his fourth offering for Shango Records. These tracks will shake you up and twist you around!!

But she did remember the cozy, lovely feeling of falling into a bed, like holding a warm steamed bun on an icy day. And then Minli closed her eyes and slept. Robin Hoshi is a gentleman from far-east places. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks whisper loudly but scream quietly. Sebastian Hal, Solar Kings and Stiko save their energy for the next oasis.

Each of the children, dressed in their red waddedcotton outfits (the rip in Da-Fu’s pants was now patched), had little moveable stoves with them. With the heaters and all of them crowded in the room, Minli felt as if she were in a warm oven of kindness. She smiled. “Good morning!” Amah said. The children giggled. “Good night!” Da-Fu said. “You slept the whole day! Pretty soon it’ll be time to go to bed again! “Now Da-A-Fu, don’t tease the girl,” Amah said. “Obviously, she was very tired. Amah poured some tea from a pot and handed Minli a cup. Minli sipped it gratefully. The steaming liquid slipped down her throat smoothly, and seemed to fill every part of her with a fresh energy. She took another sip of tea and breathed in the tangy fragrance, which smelled familiar. “This is nice tea,” Minli said. “Thank you.” “It’s not tea!” A-Fu said. “It’s the medicine that cures the tiger’s poison.” “It is tea as well,” Amah said. “It is good whether you have been touched by the Green Tiger or not.” Minli stopped drinking. “Is there enough of this for the dragon?” Minli asked, remembering how A-Gong had asked them to bring more medicine. “Maybe we should take this to him.” Da-A-Fu laughed again. “Don’t worry,” they said, “we have a lot of it! It’s made from the leaves of the flowering trees.”

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

In a village on the southern side of the Alborz Mountain, by the Caspian Sea, lived an old woman with her beautiful daughter. Her name was Moon. She had blue eyes that shined like two unblemished turquoise gems; her long eyelashes curved upward. Her eyebrows hung like quarter moons when she opened her eyes. She had silky white skin like the color of snow and breathtakingly long black hair that hung over her slender shoulders. Everybody loved Moon and Moon loved life. She woke up at dawn, made tea for her mother, and prayed on the terrace, facing the Alborz Mountain, which were pointing in the direction of Mecca. Moon had a beautiful melodic voice and she loved to sing. After her morning prayer, she sat on the terrace, facing the rising sun, as it slowly peeked out from behind the mountain, spreading its rays over the valley below, and then, second by second, slowly spread a shaft of light over the sea. She loved to gaze at the unfolding of a new day from her terrace. She praised God and sang a harmonious tune, first in a soft voice, repeating the words, “Praise to God who created the heaven and earth.” Then as the beam of light widened over the valley, her voice continued its enchanting tune, in harmony with cardinals singing in magnolia trees in the yard. She repeated over and over, “Praise to God who created the heaven and earth.” Majnoon are bringing the silver moon into the shores of Istanbul. This is their first offering for Shango Records. There two tracks will guide you to a trip in the East side. Antonio Alterino, Touzani and Duygu Civas are drinking Raki and eating Baklava.
