Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

Deep in the natural paradise of Hwange, between Bulawayo and “The Smoke That Thunders”, close to the mysterious Dete town, there are some destinations that sound almost mythical, like Kalahari. Inland lies the land of empty: the Namib Desert. Never in your wildest dreams will you have imagined how incredibly stunning and beautiful emptiness can be. Endless plains are crossed by imposing mountain ranges, bordering this area you find the highest sand dunes in the world, you can meet the wildlife. Magical fairy circles, mountain ranges and the famous dunes of Sossusvlei which glow in a deep red color in the light of the rising sun and color an almost eery pink in the light of a full moon. Hoani Teano fell asleep in Amsterdam and wake up days later under an endless number of stars in the Namib Desert. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can take you out to the wildlife. A X L, Distic and Men On Black are the Kalahari surfers.
