This is a track that transitions from Hiphop to Drum & Bass to Rock.

Originally called 'Instant Tragedy', this song was written around the start of the war and takes the Y2k22 bug (did you know there is also a Y2k38 bug?) as a metaphor for how humanity - probably the actual bug - is destroying everything and how poorly this year is already going for the world.

This is the first single from Headradio as well as my first collab with Aimée Britannia.
2020 started with a lot of pain (both emotional and physical) and heartbreak for me, I could barely sleep or function at all. One day I poured all of those emotions into this beat.
Later on, Aimée picked up on those feelings, she wrote and recorded the perfect lyrics and vocals that captured/expressed exactly what I was feeling. It was a really great start that laid the groundwork for our second collaboration.

Like a drop of water

This song pays tribute to my father, whose musical life & career influenced me in so many ways. His music is probably the first I ever heard in my life and it accompanied me throughout my life as well.

"Be kojā chenin shetābān" (or simply "Safar Bekheir") is probably my favourite song of his.
During one of his concert tours with Shajarian in 2014 I had this idea of pairing that song with a Drum & Bass beat, especially the baseline just felt like a natural fit. 
I was astonished that one of my favourite genres and my favourite song from my Dad would mesh that nicely, so I didn't wanna add more to it to not dilute its beauty.

Anyway, much like it was the first music I heard in my life, this Drum & Bass remix of "Safar Bekheir" has to be the first song on my album.

Like hitting {Return} on a keyboard
and starting a new line.

Work on this track started in summer 2020 as a project that first seemed to go for an instrumental and relaxed summer vibe. But some sort of creative tingling or stimulus in my brain gave me the idea that it needs vocals.
First I thought of letting a female singer do it, but the tingling became so strong that I got impatient and recorded it myself. 😂
The lyrics appeared pretty much out of nowhere, lamenting the isolation caused by the corona lockdown and being amused by how well it would fit to my old lifestyle that I had left behind.
Sometimes it's really interesting what kind of path these tracks take and the journey is always worth it!

This was a late addition to Headradio and the first time I made something Trap-like, even though I sure like that heavy bass.
So I call this genre Glockentrap, because of the bells (aka glockenspiel) it is built around. Some people also said it sounds spooky.
This tune certainly gave me some severe earworms, so you better watch out! 😂

I started producing & recording around 2002. Around that time I was also playing concerts and always felt at home on stage, which comes to no surprise as the child of a professional musician. I just grew up improvising on all kinds of instruments, so the addition of singing and rapping - especially freestyle - was just a natural progression from that.
