Presenting a mix by Baxtak which explores the rich and colourful discography of Billegal Beats; a record label that aims to deliver fresh IDM, Glitch, and Experimental music. Founded by the legendary @Mr. Bill in 2019, Billegal Beats is a part of the larger Billegal Corporation that including Billegal Sounds, a sample pack curator. Billegal Beats set out to promote artists pushing sonic boundaries, and while the label's sound spans a lot heavier and also more ambient works, we've pieced together a 46-minute journey through their sounds which effortlessly glides through Billegal Beats' cinematic compositions.

Late last year, Key-G returned to Desert Trax with his 'Curled Up Dimensions'. This summer, Desert Dwellers' label assembles some of the best rising stars and established veterans in the psybreaks and psydub realms for a jam-packed remix collection.

Standouts from this new remix EP include a sprawling 11-minute journey from UK legend Globular on Unleashing the Forces Instead of slowing things down like they did for their new duo project, Jakare, Halfred and Lo.Renzo return to their midtempo psy roots with remixes of Quantum Strikes and Ascension Upgrade, respectively. Newcomer Johny Pablo impresses with the Pinpricks of Light remix, and Key-G takes on his own Third Eye Girl to close out the set.

Shankara NZ are a cross pollination between dub instrumentalists and
bass music sculptors Brendan and Elijah. Hailing from the pristine
landscape of the South Island of Aotearoa, this duo’s collaborative
odyssey has conjured up high-fidelity hybrid dub-styles on internationally
acclaimed labels Shanti Planti, Dubmission, Desert Trax and Street Ritual
At the root of the Shankara NZ style are the sounds of jungle, dubstep,
techno and latin with a gentle orbit of ambient textures. This culmination
of original soundscapes, innovative composition and foundation
influences tethers together a unique, grounding, yet energetic listening
and connecting experience for any dancefloor or audience.
Shankara NZ have etched themselves as a festival staple throughout their
home country, as well as establishing themselves at major events across
Europe, USA, UK, Australia and South East Asia, including performing at
the 2023 edition of transformational festival colossus O.Z.O.R.A..
With a plethora of shows and releases incoming in 2024, Shankara NZ are
an ever evolving force who continually strive for original sound design
